Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Redding

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared, not out of spite, but out of principle. I ordered two pizzas from this place, spending nearly $50. One of them was supposed to be pepperoni and chicken. Instead, it arrived with ginger and garlic, an odd and completely off-putting combo for a pizza. I double-checked the online order and realized the mistake was mine. I had accidentally selected the wrong toppings. I owned that. I wasn't trying to scam anyone or dodge responsibility.

But when I asked if they could remake the pizza or offer a partial refund, they flat-out refused. No empathy. No flexibility. Just a cold "no." Not even a gesture of goodwill like a discount on a future order or a small credit. I wasn't asking for the world, just a little understanding. And that's where this place failed miserably.

Let me be clear: I understand that restaurants aren't obligated to fix customer mistakes. But good businesses choose to do the right thing anyway. They recognize that $25 isn't worth losing a loyal customer. They understand that how you treat people in moments like this defines your brand far more than the food ever could.

I told them I'd be doing a chargeback and never ordering again. Not because of the pizza, but because of the way they handled the situation. If I owned a restaurant, I'd remake that pizza in a heartbeat. Not because I had to, but because I'd want that customer to come back. That's how you build trust. That's how you build legacy.

So here's my warning to anyone considering this place: if you ever have an issue, whether it's your fault or theirs, don't expect compassion. Don't expect accountability. And don't expect them to care about your experience once they've got your money.

This wasn't just bad service. It was a missed opportunity to do right by someone who was honest, respectful, and willing to pay for quality. They chose short-term profit over long-term reputation. And that says everything.

Until they rectify this, I will no longer be their customer again, sadly, in a small town like this, where customer loyalty is everything. That kind of disregard doesn't just lose a sale. It loses trust. And once that's gone, it's hard...

We had no idea this place even existed until a desperate Google search this evening showed this new pizza place nearby. I have to admit that their website is completely lacking in context for the diversity and uniqueness of their flavor offerings. Basically, my small brain had no understanding of Indian Pizza fusion. Like, what even is that?

A mixture of hunger and curiosity threw us head-first down the rabbit hole! To WONDERLAND!

The food was cooked and ready very quickly. The wings were sauced and meaty. The samosa was a little too dry in our opinion, but it's not like I've ever had that before, so what do I know?!?! The pizzas were AMAZING. I preferred the thicker pan crust, but my wife liked the traditional crust more.

Make sure you are 100% clear on the level of spiciness you prefer on your pizza!!! If you are at all uncertain about what you will be getting (heat-wise), leave a special comment when ordering. We loved the heat level!

2nd Opinion: I enjoyed the Lamb pizza and cheese.

3rd Opinion: I appreciated the complexity of flavors that were available. It was nice to see options for whatever taste...

Every city I stay at for a long period of time, I tend to try to find a highly rated pizza joint to try. When in Redding with my family after a long road trip, that's exactly what I did with Pizza Twist.

They're rated pretty highly on Google. And judging by their speciality options, I knew they were serious about their pizza. The prices weren't out of control either.

I ended up going with half BBQ and half pepperoni (for my kids). Everyone loves it. The quality of the pizza was even better than I anticipated. Not super heavy and greasy and just excellent flavor all around. I was impressed.

We ended up going large (one size below family size) and ended up regretting it. Not that it was small, but we could have eaten more because it was so good.

The employees there were top notch too. They answered all the questions I had on the phone and let me know it'd be ready in 15-20 minutes. Perfect.

Give this place a try if you're passing through or find yourself in Redding. And if you live in Redding? You're lucky to have this place...
