This is one of the tougher ratings I have done... The staff was courteous and a little to forthwith. Staff mentioned more than once that there was a "New Owner".
Apparently the new owner completely changed up the alcohol selection...maybe he/she has watched to much Bar Rescue? IDK.
So, we ordered drinks...Jack n Coke, Beer, Ketel One Martini extra dry and Irish whiskey on the rocks (I do not recall the brand requested). Jake n coke - no issues, but it tasted watered down (and it was ordered with light ice). Ketel One Martini - they were out so we settled with Grey Goose, 5 minutes after the martini was served we were notified that they "found" a bottle of Ketel One. We were asked if we would like to trade it out for the Ketel...I spoke up...YES, she wants the Ketel please (speaking for my mom). No issue, they replaced it promptly. Irish Whiskey - They did not have the brand requested (not a big deal) but offered Jamison...cool. Beer - The easiest drink to serve took twice as long to actually be served. Not good! I will rate this a D+...passing, but not up to standard.
Now for the food... Mom and Dad seemed to thoroughly enjoy the baked potato and ribs! Wife very much enjoyed her pasta. I ordered a medium rare burger which arrived medium well with very little sauce on it. I patiently waited to as for more mayo, at which point the burger was then well done...FAILURE! SO on the food aspect they got 3 out of 4...I will give them a C+, passing with little effort. The burger was way too salted and peppered, but was very juicy.
The service: The waitress was phenomenally nice and attentive, but did not serve as well as she spoke. I do not like adding negatives, so I will leave it at "Room for improvement".
Will I return...absolutely NOT. The experience was pleasant, but it just did not deliver on expectations of the hype Outback sells. I go out to eat to have an "experience" and be catered to, and I will happily give a 50% tip for a proper experience.
Overall rating C-...only because our server was exceptionally nice (nice, not great...)...otherwise I would rate it D-...total failure.
OWNER...get a clue, you are making your employees frazzled. Let them do what they know how to do and stop screwin with the system. This is Redding, not LA...
Read moreI would give it zero stars if I could. She came by dropped the bread and asked if we need a few minutes after taking 10-15 minutes to even come by (she hadn't came by before this to greet us and ask for drinks) I asked if I could order for my son first, she said yeah walked away. Didn't even ask if we wanted anything to drink. 15-20 minutes go by.. still didn't even bother to come ask if we want drinks... time goes by she finally comes (no kids food yet) she asks if we're ready, I said yes but can we order some drinks? She got a super annoyed face, shrugged her shoulders and said sure, yeah. Super bothered by it. I told her you know what, forget it just give me the tab for my sons tenders she said laughed and said she'll just tell them to stop making them. And walked back with no care grinning. Not sure if she was racist to us cause we're Hispanic and my mom has a heavy accent?
Should've stayed closed. No need to remodel the outside if you can't fix the customer service. We've been coming here since I was 5, I'm 27 now. Never again. Our waitress was the bartender with dark brown/black hair. Super rude.
We come from a restaurant business family. Don't take out your bad day to customers or maybe just racism?
Never again.
Btw. She only had 3 tables including us. Restaurant was pretty dead....
Read moreFirst off the scan code didn’t work for the free appetizers. It took several employees and so much wasted time to still not have it work. Also when looking at the menu it was not clear what was included with a dish. Some say two sides some say no sides if you have a pasta dish. So confusing and hard to understand. Also I saw a $16.99 3 course meal which looked good so I ordered a steak wedge salad and cheesecake. Well she asked me what side I wanted so I said veggie medley and she said only asparagus or brocolli was included. So I picked asparagus. When I got the bill I was charged 4.99 for the asparagus which she said was included and $5 for the steak. When we questioned the price she said oh the steak option add an extra charge. Why would you put steak as an option if it’s not included in that price. She did not explain at the time I ordered it amount steak or the veggies. Also my steak was tough and dry even though I ordered a medium. My husbands steak and shrimp pasta was better tasting steak flame cooked for sure but the Alfredo sauce was very thin and bland. And lastly the cheesecake we got was frozen and difficult to eat. We had not been to Outback in awhile so thought we would go there for our anniversary. We were very disappointed with...
