The Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Grits with Sausage Etouffee is fantastic! We ordered it with Blackened Shrimp. It came with 5 shrimp and they were nice large shrimp and perfectly cooked. My brother ordered the Calamari, which was served with banana peppers and tomatoes and a nice and spicy Thai Curry sauce. Our server was very friendly and helpful, making good suggestions and making sure we were happy with everything. We highly recommend this place. They are known for the breakfast and recently expanded to dinner. It's definitely a good place to go. UPDATE 11/29/2023 Had a good sandwich with ham on rye with coleslaw. I have no issue with a "share charge", but if you only deliver an empty plate, it's not reasonable to charge $2. Split the sandwich and the side and serve it that way.

My guy and I walked here from our hotel, which was super close by. We walked in and were immediately welcomed and we decided to sit at the bar! Our server, Selena was super nice and very efficient. Everybody we talked to that worked there was helpful and chatty (in a great way!). He ordered the avocado toast and I got the salmon eggs Benedict. The home fries were legit & my egg was perfectly poached! I also ordered a mimosa and he added a likeness to Baileys Irish cream to his coffee. Food is was very fresh & delish! Very reasonably priced and we had leftovers for later! Definitely a place to go to in Redington. *only reason for 4 stars for atmosphere, it was a little warm, but the place is super quaint and very welcoming,

So here I am, at the beach with friends and family, after waking up to my friend talking about a place named Kenny’s. We never went together but then I went with my family. When I first walked in, there was already quite some chaos of people trying to be seated. People came in from multiple doors as I heard the people waited to be seated say “they’re only serving people at the other door now.”. Once seated, after waiting for service, I noticed the beverage situation. Now the splashing of the cups into different plugged sinks may be common in restaurants, but the lack of hand washing and cleaning effort I saw made it hard for me to eat my food once served. The food was very mediocre. I will not likely return.

From the moment we walked in, the staff's unwelcoming stares set the tone. Without a greeting, we were asked “bar or do you want to wait for a table to be cleaned”. We chose to sit at the bar.

The service received continued to be very unpleasant. After ordering coffee, the waitress asked if I wanted cream and sugar. She seemed disinterested, slammed the cream in front of me and ignored the fact that she knocked over a ketchup bottle as she walked away. I felt like a burden and wished we had left.

I ran out of coffee and sat there for a while with my cup empty. The other waitresses were just carrying on in conversation. I tried to be polite and wait until they were done talking, but they never looked over. I finally asked a different waitress. Even though she was close enough to grab the coffee that was right there at the bar, she told our waitress to get coffee for me instead.

It wasn’t very busy at all but it took a while to receive our food. I ordered avocado toast with eggs over easy and my husband ordered eggs and bacon. A different waitress brought out my meal with an extra plate to share with my husband. We were a bit confused and they were too. They completely forgot my husband’s food, but thankfully it only took a few minutes for them to bring his out.

First bite avocado toast, my favorite! I couldn’t help but spit that first bite back out into my napkin. It was so sour! There was so much lime juice and pepper that you couldn’t even taste the avocado. I detected other spices too, but wasn’t able to quite figure them out. Next the eggs were overcooked. I expect runny yolk when eating eggs over easy, but the yolks were almost cooked through. The potatoes were tasteless and oily. It was extremely disappointing.

After the meal the waitress noticed my plate was still full and asked if I didn’t like it. Then asked what exactly was wrong. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the waitress was rude and dismissive . She turned to another waitress and said to her, “no one else has complained”. The two of them continued to carry on about how they couldn’t believe I was saying that. Then I proceeded to explain how their behavior had made us feel. These two women had the nerve to then tell me that no one else has complained about their service. Again dismissing my experience. Our waitress brushed off my concerns, insisting that others were satisfied, and even implied that I was imagining things. Why bother to ask for feedback if it will be dismissed? I already had felt unwelcome so after this, I left the restaurant upset and waited in the car while my husband paid. .

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The lack of hospitality, coupled with subpar food and dismissive service, left a lasting impression. I absolutely cannot believe this place has such...

Local diner atmosphere; food prepared well; egg white and vegetarian option available. HOWEVER, they charge extra for “sharing” even though we ordered an extra side and two coffees. So there was really no extra work for the cook! AND they charge extra for using a credit card. Neither of these up charges were on their menu, on signs nor disclosed by the wait staff. So with tip we paid $30 for one meal and two coffees. Won’t be back.

Part two: Your response to our prior review drives home our point:

  1. The onus is on your customer to know your internal polices and/or ask the right questions prior to their ordering vs your business providing all relevant policies prior to their purchase (has a “bait and switch feel to it). A more effective way, in our opinion, is to post this information on your menu and/or signage within the establishment AND train/require your staff to ensure the customer is aware of these up-charges (not “discount”).
  2. As an FYI, we ate at an establishment two days ago for breakfast with basically a similar meal (ie. Sage Cafe-less than a mile away from you). Without tip, they charged $26.14 (paying with credit card and sharing) vs $26.12 (your “cash rate” and a $2 undisclosed “sharing fee”). So as to being the cheapest restaurant on the beach, it’s only if you know your internal policies prior to ordering. We are only trying to provide you with honest feedback based on our...

I chose a 2 star for food. Food was great both me and my girlfriends waters had long strands of white stuff at the bottom of our cups and she didn’t offer a new drink. We didn’t ask when I brought it up because we felt not wanted and didn’t want to make her mad before our food came out based on the other red flags from our server.

Girlfriend wanted a plain bacon cheeseburger and she didn’t get the bacon. When the server brought it out she defended herself sayin, “well she did ask for a plain cheeseburger.” Didn’t offer to bring out bacon and was being passive aggressive. We were over 21 and she would not sell us alcohol because we have vertical ID’s and that she would “get arrested” if she sold it to us. Florida law states that is not the case. She then proceeded to gossip about the situation saying “I can’t believe they tried to buy alcohol from me like that”, ETC.

All the good reviews from this place are from regulars that eat here. Look at the rest of the one star reviews and comments from the business “owner”. The other complaints vary from racism (twice) to cockroaches in food from three other reviews. It can’t all be fake reviews hun.

I did not get her name but she is the eldest server that works there. That still should not be an excuse. We arrived around 12:45 PM...
