Nostalgic! There aren’t many of these left, and it felt like a time machine inside, with 90s era decor and layout. I was there late in a Wednesday afternoon, normally not a busy time for restaurants, but there were about 8 other tables dining when I arrived. It was my first visit, and the server for my table was friendly and patient while I looked through the menu. She seemed to know the other diners well. Another table ordered breakfast, so it must be served all day, but I wanted to try one of their burgers because I had heard good things about the sauce. It was great. Best way to describe it was pepper jelly added to thousand island. The meat was seasoned well and even the pickles were good. Unfortunately this location didn’t have the famous pickle slaw so I’ll have to wait to finally try that. I asked my server which pie was the best seller and she immediately replied banana cream. That made me happy because I hardly ever get that, and it turned out to be the highlight of the meal. Well that, and then finding out that it was Free Pie day when I paid! She didn’t have to tell me that but it was really thoughtful and I appreciated the discount. If I return it will probably be the nostalgia more than the food, but the food is good and...
Read moreThis location has the worst customer service. Manager included! To make a long story short I placed a take out order and when I got the food home the cheese cake I paid for wasn't in the bag, the chicken fettuccine pasta was all dried out. I tried to add water and butter to revive it but no luck. Then the girl told me that the bread that came with the fettuccine was separate and not in the same box , that way it wouldn't get soggy, but when I got home the bread was sitting right on top of the pasta n the box. Not to mention alot of other flaws. Then I go down there to get my refund that the lady said I could get the night i Calle and the manager working wants to question me like im on the witness stand in a trial. "What day did this take place on , who did I talk to that night , what was their eye color what was their hair color"? Seriously. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I will never go back to this...
Read moreThe Reviews Are Right...Decent Place To Stop For A Meal The traffic reports on KNX Radio and the Cal Trans Phone Road Information number greatly downplayed the effect of the Westbound 60 closure at Westbound I-10. So, after a 1.5 hour delay on the road, a refresher stop was in order. It was the mid part of the afternoon and the COCO'S was about 70% full. Locals were in there relaxed enjoying each others company and a meal. That is always a good sign of a good establishment. Initially it was a little uncomfortable being called "Hon" by Brenda (no dating relationship exists). After that request was made and accepted, all went well. The service was excellent and the successful results of co-operation among staff members was quite evident. Four stars are being given... The food was neither that tasty nor hot, in addition the pecan pie was kind of bland, compared with previous COCO'S visited. The prices were higher than...
