We've been going to Yo for many years so it's pretty clear to us that the quality has taken a serious hit. We understand that getting good help is pretty tough these days, but this goes beyond this as we've watched the quality of the prepared meals decline on a consistently declining slope over the last year. As we always do, we ordered 3 combo meals. They were served practically dry -Maybe a couple of tablespoons of sauce for the entire meal. The rice was also dry. The veggies, what there were of them, were not only practically missing compared to only 6-8 months ago, but were badly overcooked. The teriyaki chicken was over-cooked, not tender and juicy like it's always been up until now, and the orange chicken pieces were more like overcooked chicken tenders dipped in some orange sauce - very similar, but not quite as good as the bag of orange chicken you can buy from the freezer at Smart&Final. To top it off, when you order from the app you can no longer ask for extra sauce, only request No Sauce(!) If you want enough sauce to actually help make the meal taste the way it's supposed to, you know, like teriyaki, you'll have to pony up $ for a little, bitty cup of it about the size of a dipping serving at McDonalds. We've started taking a bottle of our own teriyaki sauce with us in anticipation of Yo's new "recipe." Oh! Not too forget, the original beef that's comes with the classic combo meal is much lower in quality than it used to be - a LOT more fatty than in the past. We no longer order it. To be fair, the front-end employees are always very friendly and accommodating, but whoever is setting the policy for the actual meal preparation and QC, whether it be at the corporate level or the local franchisee... Well, if we do ever go back it'll probably be a while. We've stopped going as often as we used to for all the reasons and this last time on Aug 8 just put a cap on it for us. Our discretionary $$ spending for restaurants of all types is undergoing a massive downsizing so when we do decide to go somewhere you can bet we're going to be a lot more descriminating in...
Read moreI am a true fan of Yoshinoya. I like everything about it. I have never had an issue in regards to the quality of the food, service or presentation. This Redlands Yoshinoya is without exception the worst Yoshinoya I have ever ate food at. The orange Chicken pieces were placed dry onto what tasted like days old dry rice. There was absolutely no flavor to the meal. There was nothing that combined the orange chicken pieces with the white rice. I have never consumed anything so disgusting. Normally there is a sauce that takes the meats and brings flavor it to the rice. Completely Terrible. Dry Orange Chicken laid upon dry white rice. Absolutely disgusting. Words can barely begin to describe my disdain for this meal. The Service was ridiculously slow and unfocused. I shall Never revisit this...
Read moreIt was my first time ever eating at Yoshinoya today. I ordered the grilled steak bowl with veggies and it was scrumptious. It’s around 500 calories so it’s kind of small but great for when you just need something to keep you going. I took away a star because of the state of their bathroom. It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen, but it could use some work. Also their eating area floor was a bit on the dirty side. Makes sense that they had a “Help Wanted” sign on the door. Nevertheless, the food was hot, the food came out quick, the food was tasty and the staff was friendly. I will definitely continue...
