I recently had an experience at the Racha Noodles and Thai Cuisine restaurant that left me deeply disappointed. I placed an order for what was advertised as a normal quantity of food, but what I received was far from it. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order during the height of dinner time, I was surprised to find it completely empty except for the employees. This should have been my first indication that something was off. I ordered sticky rice for $3, but what I received was a cheap plastic bag of hot, dry rice that seemed old and clearly scraped from the bottom of the pan. It was nothing like what I expected. The disappointment didn't stop there. The peanut sauce, which looked generous in the pictures on the website, was more than twice the amount I received with my order. It felt like a bait-and-switch situation. To add to the frustration, I ordered pad see ewe with extra noodles and broccoli, but my order arrived as a standard one, without any of the requested add-ons. It was as if my specific requests were completely ignored. In total, I spent $50 on my order, but what I received was worth no more than $20. Despite my disappointment, I still tipped 20% because I believe that the workers shouldn't suffer due to the actions of their owners. Regrettably, this experience has led me to the decision that I won't be returning to this restaurant, and I can only give it one star. I even took photos to capture the disappointment that my order represented. It's truly disheartening when a restaurant doesn't live up to its promises, and this was a prime...

Used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in the area but this last time I went was unforgivably low quality. My favorite dish, Yum Woon Sen, should look like the picture I've attached for reference. In the picture you can see the salad was nicely shredded up for me and easy to consume. Lots of vegetables, lots of flavors, aesthetically pleasing even. This time I went, there were: no cashews, no carrots, hardly any shrimp, hardly any green onions, hardly any sauce in the noodles and worst of all was the salad portion of this "salad" dish. Someone literally (no exaggeration) took a large slice of an iceberg lettuce head and placed it onto the plate... I actually stared at it in disbelief at first. I wanted to go all Gordon Ramsay mode. Furthermore, I found this detail rather odd but it spoke further volumes, all the heat in the dish was concentrated in one rather painful bite towards the end of my meal. Admittedly I am sensitive to spice, but it was as if, however the heat is applied, it was all lazily applied to one spot and one spot only. The entire dish just screamed "made by a passive aggressive teenager for a parent after an argument." And its quality was not only embarrassing for a restaurant, but it also embarrassed me after I bragged to my friend that was with me on how good this Thai food place was. I am both sad and angry to report that I won't be returning anymore because I do not want to pay full price for a meal like...

Food was excellent however, I went to the website before going there for my first time & signed up for the Racha Royalty Rewards Club. The site referenced a $5.00 Gift Certificate "Welcome New Member". I tried to find where I could see or access the certificate and found nothing so decided I would ask the wait staff when I got there. Before placing my order, I explained this situation to the waiter and he said he was going to look it up on my account. When I got my bill, I noticed that the $5 was not deducted from my bill. I asked about it and was told I needed to order 2 entrees. Nowhere on the website did I see that, nor was I told when placing my order, even though I inquired before ordering. I would have given this restaurant 5 Stars but did not because I feel that the information posted on the website was either misleading or just not true. I was going to refer several people to Racha Rewards Program but didn't because even though the website stated "Receive a $10.00 Gift Certificate for referring two friends to Racha" as well as enabling them to get their $5.00 Gift Certificate "Welcome new member", I felt that neither would have happened. No one at the table was offered membership in the Royalty Reward Program during our visit.....maybe...

Racha Thai makes some of the best Thai food in the Seattle area, but it's a little on the pricy side. Fresh ingredients, unparalleled service, and a pleasant date-like setting make it worth your time. I'm really tough on Thai restaurants. There are a lot of mediocre Thai places in the greater Seattle area and Racha Thai is my #2. (All Rice in Everett is #1) The service at Racha is impressive. Staff is constantly circulating, watching for water levels and customer needs. The restaurant is always clean and the decor is comfortable and cozy, perfect for a date night before or after a movie at the nearby theater. They make some of the best tom kha gai I've ever had, with a flavorful bright clear broth and delicious fresh chicken. The pud Thai is delicious, though it should be noted that their heat rating (1-5 stars) is a very Americanized scale with 2 being barely spicy at all. They do have extra spice available on request, though, if you still want more of a traditional kick in the mouth. Overall, I love everything about Racha Thai except the price. It's delicious, near perfect Thai food in a beautiful setting with amazing service, so the meal is definitely worth every penny.
