Did a good job to design and maintain this space. The activity areas have clear delineation from the band shell, open grounds, walkways, and patio terraces. The smart city theme with proximity to shops, services, housing ... All within walking or biking distance is ideal. I am wondering if that excise WA tax will be put to viable and sustainable use with the roadway and lite rail construction that blocks all eastbound traffic. I wonder what kind of rodent will be allowed access to this relatively pristine space.
I would suggest adding cherry pickers and anti-vagrant, clandestine design elements to prevent unfortunate park incidents. Moreover, I think the park attendant should be able to recite the RCW law or ordinance that stipulates where patrons may or may not operate drone vehicles. One park attendant came at me saying they do not like it, expressing how it invades adjacent resident privacy. Adjacent residents whose units face the public spaces are given either a waiver or release form of the risks, moreover, a responsible property manager or concerned resident facing the public spaces could always purchase security elements to preclude potential eavesdropping. Nevertheless got amazing shots, and would you look at that, I did not capture anyone getting out of the shower or having fun with...
Read moreThe Redmond Downtown Park is a truly great spot to walk through and enjoy when in the core of the city.
It has many amazing features, a built in stage, great plants, lighting, and over special occasions it has a wonderful wintertime event by the name of "Redmond Lights".
It was over this occasion in 2018 that Sensebellum was invited to provide some of our best interactive art works including x3 of "The Sandbox of Life" works.
It was so great to see so many people of all walks approach the works, start to play, and then stay for way longer than necessary as the pieces engaged both children and adults alike.
I hope to see this event continue to grow and for people to enjoy the park. Thank you again to the event organizers for such a...
Read moreOccasionally people with permits play obnoxious bass-heavy music here. Non-emergency numbers are contacted by multiple people because the noise is annoying to the nearby apartments, particularly at night. However, they have permits and apparently they are not exceeding the noise level allowed during "daytime" (this is until 10:00p.m.) according to the city's noise ordinance.
So, hundreds of residents are annoyed at disruptively-loud music in their own homes, all for the enjoyment of less than people who actually go to the event. If people complain about loud music, it's because they're annoyed. Take it seriously instead of finding out that the noise technically doesn't exceed an arbitrary...
