I ordered a vanilla bean latte and was informed that the espresso machine was down. Additionally, Klatch was only accepting cash at the time, so I understood that it might not have been a good day given that both the credit card and coffee machines were malfunctioning. That was totally fine, but the disrespectful attitude I received from the female barista was what was I found absolutely unacceptable.
She called me over from across the coffee shop where I was seated and doing work. She pointed at me and instructed me to head over to the counter saying “I need to talk to you. Come here.” which I found odd as customers should not be told to move from their seat and come to the counter.
She mentioned that although the espresso machine was down, she could make a nearly identical drink. I, of course, said yes; however, when I received the coffee, it tasted nothing like the original order. I politely returned it to her, and she mentioned that the coffee machine was now working and that she could make my original drink: a vanilla bean latte with regular milk. She was clearly upset by me returning the coffee, and gave off the demeanor that she did not want to make any drink. When I received my “correct” order, it was completely sour as if it had been made with expired milk. I took it back to the counter once more, and she informed me that it was a vanilla bean latte with oat milk, which was not what I had ordered- I ordered the latte with regular milk. I asked her to try the drink because it is a customer safety issue. She never apologised and instead brushed it off saying she wasn’t going to try a customer order. As I was walking back to my seat to wait for my drink to be ready for the third time, she told me to “Wait here. At the counter.”
The work environment was completely unprofessional - I am appalled by the way this particular staff member treated a customer. I give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe things were stressful that day, but this is no way to act. Very rude encounter, and while the actual coffee order was decent, someone like this should never work in a retail...
Read moreSo Klatch Coffee has more than just coffee. The have a seasonally driven menu. So basically if it's fresh it's available. I found that to be amazing. Today I had the ROSY Cheeks coffee. I subbed the milk for their almond cashew milk and they frothed it up like a fluffy cloud. It has Espresso, rose, cardamom, sugar (next time I'd say no sugar and add mine to taste it was delicious but I prefer less sweet) I think it would delish with honey also. The staff are amazing and hilarious. I wish the seats were cozy squishy couches but alas it's still nice and when the weather is beautiful you can sit outside. I also recommend you try the espresso with the orange zest, latte style with honey... yeah I honestly want to pour it over my head because I think it would make me irresistible. #singlegirlproblems So so tasty!! Who knew. I usually go half caff. Today I went for no decaf and I got a LOT done lol. So here's what I suggest. GO TO KLATCH try something new and seasonally fresh in you cup of Java and see how great it is. It's my new fav coffee place. I feel like you could mingle. Maybe meet some new people if that's your thing. Just don't bug people staring into their laptops lol... yeah lesson learned. Bahahah. If you like my review give it a like and if you have a question about it just...
Read moreThis coffee shop is systematically defrauding customers. Avoid at all costs!
I ordered a nitro cold brew four separate times and was charged the premium nitro price despite them knowingly serving regular cold brew. On my fourth visit, after asking why there were no nitro bubbles, the barista admitted "our gas isn't working" - yet they still charged me the nitro price and handed me regular cold brew without saying a word. They've been doing this deliberately, across multiple employees, multiple visits, multiple days.
Let's be clear: They pour the drink, see it's not nitro, knowingly charge the higher price anyway, and hand it over without informing customers of the substitution. This isn't a mistake - it's intentional misrepresentation and overcharging. They're pocketing the price difference on every single nitro order despite knowing their system is broken.
I'll be filing reports with: BBB State Consumer Protection Office Local Health Department My bank and MasterCard for incorrect charges
Save your money and time. This establishment deliberately overcharges customers and hopes you won't notice. Management is fully aware and continues this...
