lil' Vegerie — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

So I was on my way to Subway with my son to grab a couple of sandwiches, when I saw Lil Vegerie. While I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, I really like vegetables and eating healthy. But in all honesty, I also do eat meat and like dairy too.

We decided to give lil' Vegerie a try and I'm SO glad that we did!

We were greeted by Jason, who co-owns the restaurant along with his wife. He was incredibly friendly and went over a their menu with us and provided a little background in how Lil Vegerie came to be. Very interesting and cool story.

Honestly, Jason exuded his passion for their food and clean eating. At this point, if the food is even half as good as it's sounding then we were going to be in store for a real treat.

So I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and my son got the Italian Antipasti. We agreed to split everything.

I was really impressed with their prices as the main dishes and salads range from $12- $13.50, which is VERY reasonably priced. You would spend more at most fast food chains and not even come close to the nutritional value of what Lil Vegerie has to offer. Now this is all great, provided that the food is good...

Well, the food wasn't good... it was SPECTACULAR!! Honestly, we were floored at just how awesome it actually was! Not in a million years would I have thought that I was eating vegan. Everything was impeccably seasoned, savory and prepared to perfection! The best way for me to describe it would be delicious comfort food with the caveat that it's really good for you.

Also, their portions are HUGE! Even the heartiest of appetites are going to get their fill with Lil Vegerie's generous portions.

I'm really looking forward to going back and trying many of their other dishes.

Regardless, if you are or aren't a vegetarian or vegan, Lil Vegerie is an absolute MUST...

Lil Vegerie was a trip worth taking if you enjoy vegetarian cuisine and exotic homemade drinks.

Tucked just off Pacific Coast Highway, this culinary hideaway is easily accessible and full of surprises. The master creators behind the menu deliver a flavor packed experience that made this non-vegetarian seriously reconsider past judgments about vegan food.

Each dish was a celebration of creativity and balance. The fusion of flavors was unexpected but harmonious; every bite left me in awe. What truly elevated the experience was the staff. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, one team member took time to explain the inspiration and preparation behind each plate. He shared the owner's vision and a commitment to healthy food that doesn’t compromise on taste. That passion was present in every bite.

You’re left wondering how something so delicious can also be so nourishing.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon and had no issue finding parking. The outdoor patio comfortably seats around 20 guests; a peaceful space to enjoy the coastal breeze.

The handcrafted drinks deserve their own spotlight. Perfectly blended; refreshing; and thoughtfully designed not to spike your blood sugar; they quenched thirst and complemented the meal beautifully.

If you find yourself near Manhattan Beach or Redondo Beach, Lil Vegerie is a must-stop experience....

So lucky to stop by this hidden gem. I got the mandarin cardamon Fresca and the mushroom carne asada bowl. The fresca is beautifully flavored, light, refreshing, and not too sweet which is hard to pull off. I don’t taste much cardamon but I’m still satisfied. The carne asada marinade is beyond. Smoky and rich, I ate every last mushroom in the bowl and it settles so easily you don’t feel weighed down by this meal at all. The rice is perfectly cooked and they deserve a medal for the incredible sauces they make idk how they do it without any dairy or soy. Ooo and I don’t know how I almost forgot the creamy potato soup 🔥 Crunchy lil bits of potato stay crispy even after submerged and the slivers of chili are a delightful topping. Jason provided exemplary service and has such a warmth in all of his actions. He made sure we knew about all the ingredients and offered us blankets since seating is outdoors. They make the narrow patio area really functional and friendly. I love the drought conscious landscaping, you get to enjoy the sounds of a lil bubbling fountain and vibrant Californian wildflowers in bloom. Truly a lovely lunch, thank you to lil’Vegerie, you deserve...
