Saturday June 17 2017 we visited Najas place. We enjoyed two glasses of beer each. My boyfriend left his wallet on the table outside where we were sitting. A. gentleman that was working there (a naja employee) was cleaning up that area and shutting down the patio as we were leaving. he asked if we'd like to stay?we declined and left. We walk to our car and realize we left the wallet on the table. We went back and he said someone had turned it in. We were discussing this with the gentleman who was cleaning up outside. He claimed a young lady turned it in. Over $500 in cash was stolen. We explained that we would like to speak to a manager and we would like to review the tapes to see who may have taken the money. All of the contents of the wallet were in tact excluding the $514 in cash. We spoke to the manager two days later who had watched the video and he said that the employee that we had spoken with was the one who found the wallet and turned it in and never return to work the next day. The employee was clearly the one who picked up the wallet he then walked over to the bathroom came back out and put the wallet behind the register. The video clearly shows this. We believe and so does management that he was the one who stole the money out of the wallet as no one else touched it. We are asking the establishment to compensate us or reimburse us or to at least try and get a hold of the employee so that he can return the hard earned money that was stolen. We were told to just file a police report. We will never visit that establishment again. I have been going there for many many years. it is very unfortunate that they would not make things right. Update: 6/23/17 The manager continued to work with us and was trying to get the employee to pay but the employee came up to pick up his check and said he did indeed steal money but not the amount in which was in the wallet. He said that he stole $150 . Instead of calling the police they gave him his check a $60 paycheck and sent him on his way. they then advised us to "" do what...
Read moreThe waiter took up on himself to join my wings and fries with another guest from my table. Note, we had payed separately for a reason (COVID). When the food came to the table after a long wait. My friend said, this doesn’t feel right. Who does that, I wanted my own fries. I asked the waiter to give me two plates so I didn’t have to reach across the table, he had an attitude. I told him it just wasn’t right. While my friend was eating, he literally grabbed the plate of wings and threw it into the trash with a strong attitude . I can’t rate the food, since I didn’t get a chance to even eat. “There I took care of the problem, I’ll bring you your separate orders.” I asked to speak to the manager and another man approached me and apologized and gave me my money. He said the order was coming, I said “no.” You mean you expect your customers to eat after you displayed such rudeness. I’ve never experience such horrible service. He took a plate off the table while the young lady in my table was eating. He refunded my friend as well. I wish I could off taken pictures and gotten the waiters name. I never Yelp any business before, but that was an...
Read moreIf you love beer and want to experience the Redondo Beach Pier the way locals do then add a visit here to your list. I like it because the beer selection is huge, over 80 on tap in addition to hundreds of bottles to choose from. I wouldn't say this place is known for their food. It's mostly the standard fried "bar food" fare you can get just about anywhere, the kebab plate is my "go-to" menu item if we decide to eat here.
This place has been in business since the 1980s and while it has grown (slightly) larger over time the decor and vibe remain largely the same. This is a no-nonsense beach-y "dive" bar. If you order food it will be brought to you but all transactions take place at the bar. No one is going to check on you and the friendliness of the staff relies largely on the size of the crowd. It may not be for everyone but most locals love it for what it is. When I've had an opportunity to swing by during the week I have occasionally found it quiet but on any given summer (or warm) weekend this small space is...
