Papa Guido's Pizza — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I’ve been going to Papa Guido’s for 8 years straight, and it’s hands-down one of the most consistent and delicious spots around. Their wings? Best in the state, no exaggeration. I always ask for them well done, and they come out perfect every time: crispy, flavorful, and served with addicting sliced fried potatoes, kind of like Papa Mojos from Shakey’s.

The ranch is next-level, and the pizza never misses. The crust is always crispy, the ingredients fresh, and every bite reminds me why I keep coming back. Even the cheese bread is fire.

But what truly sets Papa Guido’s apart is the people. The owner and staff are some of the kindest, most humble folks you’ll ever meet. They don’t nickel-and-dime you for extras like ranch,just ask and they’ll happily give you a generous amount. It’s rare to find that kind of generosity and warmth in a restaurant these days.

I used to love this place but I'm updating my review. Last year I got a long black hair wrapped around one of my chicken thighs. I haven't gone for a year since but my daughter said she still loves their pizza and asked to please get it. I said fine and ordered a cheese pizza along with the chicken and potatoes for my roommate. They come home and make me a plate and I decided to try again. I asked for a chicken breast to have with my salad. 2nd bite into the chicken and there was a hair in my mouth, long, and still connected to the chicken! Fail, fail, fail. And you can't get your money back because the girl who answers is very rude and will hang up or say the owner isn't there. I was way too nice for having all these issues. But you know what? They got my order wrong (which I can understand. Mistakes happen) and They offered me another pizza. I said yes and they said it would be over in 15 min. That's it. The delivery guy came up to my door when I answered it and he immediately said,"give me the other pizza". I was NOT informed at all about giving back the old pizza. They generously offered a new one for they're own mistake over the phone. We still had to wait in hunger over an hour for my right food order (from a place right down the street from me) so we ate some of the pizza. The guy started to get frustrated at me like I did something wrong in the first place. He muttered something under his breath as he gave me a dirty look and shoved the pizza at me as he walked away....
