I am a local and have been a big supporter of this restaurant from day one. When the pandemic hit I ordered take out often just to support them. We were so happy when they set up the outside so pretty and so cozy, we were eating there probably 3 times a week, but we have not been there for a while, and although I miss this place, I have no intentions of going back. The way my husband and I were treated the last time we were there was outrages! The staff knows us very well and have alway received superb service, however there is a kind of new guy, I think his name is Riley a floor leader I think, he pretty much kicked us out of the restaurant because we refused to wear a mask while seating. We eat at the village all the time, and I know the rules, you were your mask when you walk to the table and as soon as you seat it the mask comes off if you want to. All the restaurants have the same rule, but Riley told us that we need it to wear a mask till we were served otherwise we could not eat there, mean while, the table next to us did not have food on the table and not wearing mask either. As we were walking out, I ran in to this lady that was walking to a table to meet her family, she was not wearing a mask, but Riley was so focused on us that he did not even noticed that. This is not my first bad encounter with this guy and perhaps this is the reason he is not very nice to us. A few month prior I made reservations for a specific table as it was a special occasion but he refused to accommodate my request telling me that he could not reserve a specific table for us, . however I spoke with someone else and I got the table that wanted with no issues at all. He was not happy to see that, I could tell I am guessing this is the reason he pretty much kicked out of the restaurant. I have talked to so many people that I know that are also locals if they were a mask there till they get served and they all say no, so why did he single us out? This is that the way to treat customers that have been big supporters of this restaurant, in fact we support all the business in the village. I know the restaurants are doing super good right now because they are getting customers from all over, and that is a good thing, and we are very happy about it, but they should not forget about the locals, we are the ones who keep these places in business and I hope they don't...

The Rockefeller is always a great option especially on weekends. Bottomless mimosas is a great compliment to all of your delicious food cravings. A perfect setting with great drinks, delicious food and amazing company add to this amazing place. Portion sizes are generous enough to share so if your stuck with trying to decide why not order it all.
I love starting out with avacado toast just to pair with my first mimosa. Their chilaquiles are a delicious second . The chips are very crunchy still and far from soggy. Full of authentic flavors and topped with an over medium egg to coat the mountain of tortillas once cut into. For a great side and my biggest weakness anytime we visit is definitely the chicken and waffles. I'll admit the crisp of the chicken at times seems inconsistent but the flavor is always phenomenal. When paired with more mimosas for this particular dish I usually reccoment their guava one. The waffles are light, fluffy and savory and their house made hotsauce is "chefs kiss". To finish off Brunch we love splitting the Sancho burrito. A delectable braised short rib filled meal combined with over easy eggs, bacon , hash all wrapped up and topped off with a wet sauce his definitely a home run hitter.
If brunch is not your Forte their truffle Mac n cheese and Rockefeller bowl with chicken are just as delicious. No matter what type of food your craving everythingbis amazing. Customer service is phenomenal, they are ada and pet friendly which is a major plus. I do tend to bounce around between here and hermosa beach location but redondo is my favorite. On occasions we have also been able to catch live music and also enjoy datenights here. Coming here is truly a staple for us but Brunch is...
Read moreThis past weekend, I had my rehearsal dinner / welcome party at Rockefeller in Redondo Beach, and it was PERFECT! Let me start by saying that I booked this whole thing from the East Coast over the phone, without ever seeing the space. I called a ton of places explaining what I wanted, and struck out until coming across Rockefeller. I spoke with Taylor (Taylor is THE BEST) and explained to her that I wanted a rehearsal dinner for 30 people, then wanted to open it up to all our wedding guests after the rehearsal dinner for "welcome drinks." I told her I wanted more of a cocktail hour vibe where people were up and hanging out, rather than a sit down dinner. She immediately understood, worked with me on the pricing, and made everything so easy.
Taylor told me she would put us in the "beer garden" space they have in the back, and I was imagining a small kind of boring space, but was just happy it was outdoors. The night of the rehearsal dinner, I was blown away by how nice the space was. I added some photos here so you can really see just how nice it is. It's decorated in greenery, its super private, and it is also huge. All the guests were commenting how much they loved it. Taylor also helped me pick a variety of items for the menu and served it family style, and the food was amazing! So delicious, fresh, and great variety (get the sweet potato bombs!) Our servers were Kalei and Rachel, and they were so sweet and accommodating. No drink was ever empty.
Our night at Rockefeller in Redondo was the perfect kickoff to our wedding weekend. The venue was so wonderful, and I would encourage anyone looking for a spot for a rehearsal dinner, birthday party, corporate event, literally anything, to give Taylor a call and book the beer garden. It was...
