I don’t normally write reviews but yea....totally had to on this one. A client of mine recommended Bravo when I mentioned that I was going to run over to JitB for lunch. She said they have the best enchiladas in town. Of course I had to put this to the test.
When I arrived I was instantly greeted with a smiling friendly employee, who I later learned was the owner. He was professional and obviously takes great pride in his customers. While waiting for my order I noticed people outside waving to him and him waving back like neighbors do.
Carlos was super nice, offered me patio seating, gave me a variety of salsas just because I didn’t really know what we be good. (They were all good :D). More to the food, it was beyond delicious. The rice and beans were great, and the enchiladas made me wanting more. If I were to offer some constructive criticism I would say swap the rice and the small salads location in the to-go plate so the greens aren’t soaked in the enchilada sauce. I ate it anyway lol.
I always tip local restaurants, especially during these covid times where so many businesses are hurting. He ran my order and didn’t even bring it up. When I asked could I add a tip, he said it wasn’t necessary, just come back and tip next time. Um, no. I had him ring me up a second time for a soda and tipped him 20 bucks. Mostly for the service. Should have doubled it after tasting the food. I will definitely be going back, and anyone reading this review...check them out....
Read moreTo the owner, I get it, we all have bad days. I really enjoyed your shredded beef last time, you happily obliged by giving me a takeaway container.
Today I wanted to have it again, along with the pork. And you got upset and asked how you are going to charge, when you came up with 17.00 dollars, I understood why. Prices have gone up, logistics have gone up, its not your fault or mine, but I passed on the price and opted for just the beef.
You seemed even more annoyed, granted I was the only one in the restaurant, you just didn't seem like you wanted to serve me or understood certain dietary issues. I also understand you don't have plates on the menu, I shouldn't assume you could accommodate.
Your shredded beef was awesome the last time I had it on its own, but this time around you made seem like it was more of a hassle to you to sell me just the beef again.
I just didn't feel very welcome, but I don't want to discourage others from coming here. The food is fresh and now more than ever, mom and pop businesses need our support. If the owner is having a bad day, he shouldn't take it out on his customers who want to support his business, regardless of...
Read morePhenomenal service and great food. Small family restaurant worthy of the community's support. Nice little patio out back to eat, or great quick takeaway. My favorite is the carnitas super burrito, though I've also gotten catered carne asada and al pastor tacos for office events, shrimp/fish burritos.
The Salsa here is my absolute favorite, and I wish they would sell me it by the pint. The fresh house made tortilla chips are often still warm, and totally delightful.
I've been to every taco truck and taqueria up and down Woodside road multiple times and this is by far my favorite spot for a quick, filling tasty lunch with...
