The service was friendly, but the food was extremely disappointing compared to past visits. The sushi was the biggest letdown—completely flavorless and on par with something from a grocery store. Unfortunately, the presentation and quality made it feel unprofessional and cheap. I would strongly recommend avoiding the sushi here. Flavorless rice. Far from an authentic Japanese influenced taste. To make matters worse, the sushi chef was dressed sloppily and missing a front tooth, which didn’t inspire confidence in the quality or professionalism. I’m sure he’s a nice person, but the sushi he prepared tasted cheap and amateurish.

The Brussels sprouts tasted like they were fried in old seed oil straight from a deep fryer rather than cooked in olive oil, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. The smash burger also carried that same seed-oil flavor, almost as if fryer oil was used on the griddle. Overall, the food quality has dropped to an unbelievably low level since my last visit a year ago.

We dined with a large group of 14 people and where able to try several items on the menu. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I personally tried the Avocado Crispy Rice, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The avocado added a nice creaminess and the a nice hit of acid from pickled ginger aioli. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were complimented well by the dipping sauce. I particularly liked the spicy aioli. The crab and shrimp dip was loaded with seafood and still balanced well with the remaining ingredients. I had Shrimp and Chips for dinner. The shrimp was huge, perfectly golden brown and still tender inside. The cabbage in the coleslaw still had a nice crunch and was dressed well and the fries were crisp and well seasoned. My husband had the Kismet Roll and the Alarm Roll and commented they were some of the best rolls he has ever had. The comments I heard from the rest of the group were about how perfectly everything thing was cooked! For appetizers, We had the crispy Brussel sprouts. They seemed deep fried but came with delicious dipping sauce. We also enjoyed the cheese bread. Typical cheese bread. For entrée She had the kismit tips. Nice gravy, homemade mashed potatoes and asparagus. I had the navigator burger, 2 smash burger style patties with cheese, and bacon with a garden. coulda been lighter on the garlic salt, the alarm sushi roll was delicious, and so were the drinks.
