Absolutely delicious! I am so glad I didn't let the few negative reviews I read make me pass on this place. Best breakfast I've had on the coast. Period. We arrived on Sunday morning at around 11:15am. We were seated promptly. The two servers were so friendly and on the ball. They had a large party come in during our meal and still managed to meet all of our needs while taking care of the group. They were hustling and I really appreciated it. Our food was amazing! O got the Chile relleno omelet and it was delicious. My husband got the shrimp omelet and recommends adding salsa for a little extra kick! We also got a side of pancakes and added marionberry sauce - omg! I could eat that sauce with a spoon. The portions were perfect and the price was just right. My daughter got the kids breakfast with no meat and they made up for it with extra eggs. We also tried the local sodas. My husband got the vanilla cream and I got the butterbeer 😍😍 the butterbeer was a Harry Potter dream come true. What a treat! The coffee was also delicious and they were prompt with refills. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside and out. I loved the flowers outside in the waiting area and it front. I love all the local ingredients and drinks. We will be back!

We were driving south down the Oregon Coast and ended our day in Reedsport as that night (Saturday) more hotel options/better prices than Florence. Then starts the task of finding food. Did some googling and thought we’d try Harbor Light. Wow what a good decision that was. Two men were waiting tables and they were hustling. We had maybe a 5 -10 minute wait for a table. Got called in to see the little table nicely set and a nice carafe of ice water in the table, with two glasses poured. What a nice touch. I noticed an Oktoberfest menu on the wall and asked our waiter if they were doing those items as well. He said they were so I quickly changed my order to the Schnitzel. WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!! The ambience of the place, the presentation of the food and the portion sizes were incredible and the taste could only be described as absolute perfection. Only complaint, was we ran out of room for the carrot cake for dessert. This still pains us. We almost drove back the 70 miles to dine there again the next night. Regret that we didn’t backtrack. It was THAT GOOD! We will remember this food for a very long time!! So if in Reedsport, go find this restaurant and make sure you go hungry!! .

I had heard that this is one of the spendier restaurants in Reedsport, but I wanted to treat myself to some great Oregon Coast seafood before I leave town. It's in a quaint little building that doesn't look like much. Oh, but once you're inside you're greeted to a wonderful ambiance that includes indoor and outdoor seating. Vacillating back and forth between the 1/3 pound elk burger and my purpose for coming here, something with seafood in it. I asked the waiter "so what are your signature dishes here?" Without a moment's hesitation he said the seafood pot pie is incredible," so that's what I ordered. Let me tell you, if you like seafood, if you like clam chowder GET THIS DISH. You won't be disappointed. Instead of a heavy pie crust, the pot pie is served with a puffed pastry on. To me it's a nice touch. Puff pastries easier on the belly and it soaks up the seafood chowder, thick with chunks of at least three kinds of seafood if not more.

When we arrived we barely fit inside the door. Immediately inside the door there is a wait to be seated sign, but no one was there to greet us. This is because the first table is 6 feet from the door. It gets very awkward standing there waiting for someone to acknowledge you while you stand at the end of these people's table. As other dinners entered we saw the same awkwardness we experienced.

There were only about ten tables but they had 5 wait staff tripping past each other competing for tables. One hostess and two waiters could've easily handled that amount of customers without customer service suffering.

I had ordered one of the specials. There was a large amount of food and it looked wonderful. The vegetables were crisp and delicious. The baked potato was large and had plenty of toppings. The fish was a stuffed lingcod and was delicious at first, but as I got to the bottom of the first of two fish I find a large pink gelatinous raw spot. My husband had ordered the same dish but his fish looked fine all the way through on both pieces. I tore apart my second piece and find a smaller but identical raw spot. My husband called our waitress over. She was attentive and apologetic. She took the food back to the kitchen and they confirmed that it was indeed raw. They offered to cook it longer or to give me something else. I had lost my appetite unfortunately, but I appreciated their attempts to remedy the error. They did take off 50% of the cost of my meal without me having to ask. I am sure had my food been cooked completely it would have been a wonderful meal. Ultimately it was the waitress who redeemed this...

Harbor Light web site advertises simple food done well. We had the Elk Shepard's Pie, Fish and Chips, and a bread pudding with chocolate, caramel and a bit of whip cream to top it off. All simple and all done very well. The Elk pie had gentle golden ridges of buttery crisp mash potato over a fluffy layer of mash before digging into a well seasoned and spiced ground elk, veg and gravy filling. It did not come with butter and did not need it. It was big enough to cause a moment of fear that there would be no room in my tummy left for bread pudding, but i pushed my doubts aside and won through. The fish and chips were cooked just right. The fish was not over done at all. Both were clearly cooked in oil that is kept properly filtered and changed regularly. They were golden and. crispy on the outside and flakey within. Bread pudding is so simple and so often done poorly. Not so here. We could have had it with no toppings. It was wonderful. Not to sweet, and pudding like texture with large chunks of bread soaked in egg flavored with cinnamon. I could eat another right now. The staff was pleasant, competent and accommodating. While the restaurant itself was clean and ordered in a way that tells one there is a driving force with an attention to detail at work. Every inch i looked at was cleaned. No forgotten nook or carney. Even the cord on the lights hanging outside above the tables was free of dust and grime. Recommended without...
