P G's Home Style Chicken — Restaurant in Reidsville

Not what I was expecting from a place that has home style in their name. The home fries were fresh and good, but I thought I was going to get hand cut potatoes cooked with onions and peppers so I ask for cheese. They gave me a slice of cheese in a box, that was on me because I did not know that their home fries were just thick fries. Again the fries were good and fresh. I got the two egg plate with bacon and gravy over my biscuit. The bacon was bacon, the eggs were plain and I did not get any salt or pepper in my bag. The gravy biscuit was absolutely the worst I’ve ever tasted and I do mean taste. At first I wasn’t even going to taste it but I had to at least see if the gravy had any flavor. The biscuit was pretty much a ball of flavorless dough and the gravy taste like thick cold watered down flour with no seasoning. Maybe I had my hopes set to high. For this to be a home style restaurant please work with your staff let them know that it is not ok to sell raw biscuits, and add some seasonings...

The prices are excellent but you are getting what you pay for. The chicken biscuits were good, but I wouldn't call them great and I don't think I'll be going back. I was hoping for a true, home style piece of fried chicken and instead I feel like I got an oversized, well seasoned chicken nugget. It is not a whole breast filet or anything, it's a compressed chicken patty that's fried. Hey, some people like and maybe even prefer that - just not me. The biscuit was also nothing to write home about, but again, it wasn't bad. Nothing was bad. The hashbrowns are just the frozen tater tots you can buy at a grocery store and the fries were ok. I'm not upset with the meal I got but it definitely leaves you wanting something a bit more - from a place that literally has "home style chicken" in the name.

Go every morning and typically the sweetest lady works the window. But this morning the other lady was there. Get my food slung all in the bag and my home fries had some kind of sweet seasoning all over them. When I called the manager which I thought was the gentleman that works there but a lady answered said they changed them on us. They were the regular ones on Friday and didn't have this weird stuff sprinkled all over them. Shouldn't we inform the customer when things change and decide if they want to waste money? They have been changing alot of items there and the new items are odd tasting. Definitely not the same pgs and...
