We went yesterday because my friend wanted us to experience the burgers at Five Guys. We appreciated the way they had the social distancing laid out as you waited for your food.when we placed our orders we had questions and the young man answered them but in spite of our ordering two of the burgers were incorrect. I asked if the lettuce was shredded and he answered me yes. Also when I paid he just walked away and didn’t hand me the receipt or say thank you or tell us where to wait but that was pretty apparent anyway. When we arrived There were three people waiting. As they left one by one we moved to the first wait position. By this time it had been fifteen minutes. The two young men cooking the burgers never once stopped talking to each other and we watched as our burgers were cooked but it looked like they were waiting for the top buns. There was young man in a black shirt who was bringing buns up front and every time the boys that were cooking and talking would take them from him and delayed our burgers even longer. There were also two other boys up front which seems to me they could have helped. There was a young woman working the fry area and handing out the food and was the only one that stayed continually busy and was very friendly to the customers. Ok finally the burgers were ready and when she went to bag the fries they weren’t any😰. She dropped the fries and delayed our order again by at least five minutes. The fries were delicious as they came right out of the fryer and she apologized twice and seemed genuinely concerned. When we got hone two of the burgers were incorrect as you know the lettuce is not shredded and pickles were missing and the friends burger was missing a condiment as well. The third burger was correct. I just think there should have been a better sense of urgency and some sort of leadership to these employees. One man did come out for a quick minute and looked around and told another employee that the fryer needed more oil. The two young men also stopped talking while he was present but when he left they started up again. We arrived at 150 and left at 230. I appreciate that the food is cooked to order but this staff needs some direction and definitely some leadership present. We will be back but just thought the Managment should know how the employees perform while no leadership is...
Read moreIf I could give this review a minus 10 I would."I went to Five Guys today after placing a mobile order online, thinking it would be a lot faster and that the food would be ready by the time I got there. When I got there, the cashier told me that it would be about five more minutes. Well, I ended up waiting 25 minutes total. Apparently, they forgot to make the fries. Anyways, when I got there, the service was as cold as the food. By the time I got my food, the burgers were lukewarm, and the Cajun fries were very hot but had very little Cajun seasoning. Then, when I got my food, before we left, one of my kids wanted some water. So I asked the cashier if I could please get a small water cup. So they gave me a small water cup, and I went over and noticed there were no lids for the small water cup. I went back to the cashier and said, 'Can you give me a larger cup because none of these lids will fit this small cup?' And in the past, they've always offered me a drink, a free drink, while I was waiting. Well, this time, the guy did not want to give me a bigger cup with a lid. He said that's all we give out for water cups. Otherwise, you've got to pay for it. So after spending over $30, I thought, 'You know what? I'm just going to go to another place next time.' I also overheard the guy I asked for a water cup from talking to one of the cooks, and the cook asked him what he wanted, and then I heard them laughing about something regarding the water cup." Worst service I ever...
Read moreFive Guys is really good for the price. Yeah you don't get unlimited Fries, but the fries are delicious, the burgers are really good and yeah you don't get friggin ranch for your fries. Ask for fry sauce when you go next, it's awesome, no need for ranch. Yeah Five Guys might not be as good as high end restaurants, but that isn't what they are trying to accomplish there, they are competing with places like Chipotle, Boston Market, and fast food restaurants.
The reason they yell is so that they can get your food out to the customers as fast as possible, because there are definitely very large rushes from time to time. Yeah you can go to Red Robin and get a slightly better deal, but their burgers never taste as good and you have to be taken to your seat and wait for a waiter or waitress to come to you.
When you go to Five Guys, you can as your ordering get exactly what you want on your burger. My favorite combination is to get the Bacon Cheese Burger(actually has two patties) with BBQ Sauce, A1 Steak Sauce, Mayonnaise, and Ketchup. The A1 Steak Sauce really brings out the flavor of the burger.
Obviously the best burgers in town are actually in Sparks at Fuddrucker's, but they are way out of the way when you are in town, but for the best fast food in Reno, head to Five Guys. Deliciously cooked bacon, melty cheese, a nearly bag full of fries, and very...
