I dont know what I was thinking, trying a different red Robin location. It was just as bad at the sparks location. But it was my nieces birthday and it's her favorite place.
First off, we got seated right away. That's great. I'm super excited, right.... no, it took our waitress 25+ mins to come see us. im sure you're wondering why didn't I just leave... again, it was my nieces 10th birthday, and it's her favorite place to eat.
Other tables seated after us get helped first, so there is no system of who comes in first. She takes our order drinks, apps, and main meal all at once... even better now we don't have to wait for her to keep coming back....
She brought us waters and then our drinks. My water had black stuff floating in it. I dont know mold, maybe it's time to clean your drink dispensers, that's gross.
I ordered the new bacon fondue burger, so good. My son and I split it. My sons fondue came out burning hot, and mine came out ice cold... they came out at the same time, like what in the world is going on in the kitchen?
So we flagged down our waitress to split our check 2 ways me and my son and my sister and her daughter! She brought out the checks and told us we could pay on the machine. I have a tap, so mine went through quick and easy... my sis, on the other hand, didn't have a tap card or cash on her. The card insert wasn't working she tried 2 cards. We waited 20 minutes to try to flag down our waitress and didn't see her once. So I walked to the bar and asked him to run this check, please . He tried, and he said his computer was down, "not working." he has to try another one. So he walked to another machine and it worked. And then he's hunting down a pen. What a nightmare.
So, 2 hours in the restaurant and it's not very full for a Sunday night.
Red flag is when the parking lot is empty....
Tips for the managers Have your bussers helping with drink orders. Your bus boy was literally cleaning tables and watching TV... I dont know why you have 2 people at the hostess stand time to grab an apron and start helping as a waitress... Don't have extra machines revert back to pen and paper and type it into 1 computer it's not hard. Raise the wage of your employees if you can't get people to work. Better training 1 waitress for 20 tables is a problem... When your employees are standing around talking and not doing their job, it's time to fire them and get new ones or write them up!
I really don't know who owns Red Robin, but it's time to bring in some professionals and retrain all your staff at both locations...
Good luck. I hope for the best, and I'll try these locations again in a year, maybe a few months, if I get a response saying you have changed everything and have...
Read more(* Posted 08/25/2023 *) — After getting off work earlier than usual and being in an exceptional mood, I remembered that I still possessed a Red Robin gift card that I earned in a past drawing at my current job; I hadn't been to Red Robin in a while (not since my last birthday, that is), so I figured it was about time to pop back in and redeem it towards the cost of lunch.
As usual, one of the first things I noticed was how the overall appearance (plus the indoor & outdoor cleanliness) gave me a nice, cozy feeling with its asthetics and subtle glow (although I paid no mind to any of the suspended flatscreen TVs with whatever sports or news they had on them, and the central bar was a nice touch)... But I digress. I was greeted at the door and was seated promptly; my server was friendly, professional, courteous without being overbearing, and demonstrated a good attitude from start to finish. My meal was presentable and the right temperature all around: On the day that I'm writing this, I will say that the Poppin' Purple Lemonade was pretty good (and would probably glow just as prettily under UV light, lol), though nothing too special; my Bleu Ribbon Burger was oh-so SAVORY (you can't go wrong with blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion straws, especially!) and was held together just right with a sturdy pick; and the garlic fries? I wished I could have had a second round when my server had offered it, but I told myself I would leave room for dessert; however, I will admit that the fries WERE very much on the greasy side — so much so that the butter that they use became runoff that got soaked up into the bottom of my burger bun like a sponge... I can see how some people might complain about this, but y'know what? Finger-lickin' goodness, in the end; I'm not a particularly picky person to begin with, so screw it, I thought. And the minced garlic & Parmesan they used in the recipe made it all the more tasty. 😋
Finally, to round everything off, the milkshake that I ordered had decent chunks of real peaches in it, and silly as it may've sounded at first when I looked at the menu, I did not mind the gummy peach rings it was garnished with (hell, I like candy)... Not bad at all. Barely finished it by this time, too. Whoo... 😅
I shall make a conscious effort to come back to this establishment sooner than later, hopefully on a night where it's a little more packed so I can absorb the buzzing energy I think Red Robin...
Read moreWent in for dinner Sunday 12/9 and had the worst experience. It started off with the waiter not coming to attend or acknowledge that we were there. 15 minutes after being seated the waiter "Jacqueline" comes over and introduces herself and asks what we want to drink. She brings our drinks out right way, and walks away. I called her back and said if we can get started with an appetizer, she said sure. Our appetizer of jalapeno coins & mozzarella sticks come out 20 mins after ordering and someone else bring them to the table. We ask for ranch and he tells us, "Sure I'll let your waiter know, she never brought it to the table. The portion of jalapeno coins was small, and I call our waiter over to ask about them being served so little and she says she asked if we ate any, I said "no we haven't touched anything yet, and says "oh I need to ask my manager. She comes back out and says the portion of it was fine and she was sorry! She starts to walk away and I say "excuse me, we are ready to order". She comes back with an attitude and takes our order. We waited 45 minutes for our food to finally come out, and one of the burgers we ordered was the wrong one, and the other burger was cold, and meat was raw. We complained about it and the wrong burger was replaced and brought out by the manager, and I tell her about the cold red meat burger and says "sorry we are really busy." At that point we were just done with being there and I refused to have my burger replaced, I didn't want to wait another 45 mins. So we asked for our tab right away and on the tab saw that the manager gave us half off for the wrong burger brought out. The waiter waited to receive the money for the tab and I asked why we were being charged for the raw burger if we didn't eat it, she said her manager is the one who put it in as half off. We gave her the money and left. The waiter never asked to refill our drinks, never asked to give us more fries, and never once checked to see how we were doing. The place was not that busy for them to use that as an excuse. We ended up eating somewhere else. It was very upsetting that the customer service was horrible and on top of that the food was messed up and we waited so long for it. We will never go back to this location again. And I will be calling corporate about this. I hope the waiter and the manager that attended us reads this because they will know exactly who they are and how badly...
