Unacceptable behavior from the waitress, Sheriyah and the manager, Leticia. We waited to be seated, which was fine, even though the host was in a mood. We sat down and our waitress had to be retrieved by someone else because that’s how long it took before she acknowledged us in her section I ordered the lobster and shrimp linguini, without shrimp and tomatoes, with a side of fries and my mom ordered a seafood boil, the Mac and cheese w/ bacon side and the clam chowder appetizer. When my mom ordered her app, it wasn’t mentioned that they had ran out of crackers. When we received the app and my mom asked for crackers, then she was informed there were noooo crackers at all. She had to eat croutons with the clam chowder as an alternative, which my mom recommended. No alternatives were given by the waitress. My mom enjoyed her seafood boil. My linguini on the other hand was another matter. I’ve gotten the lobster linguini more times than I can count, I ordered it a minimum of 15 times in the past 8 months, and ordered it again on my birthday a few weeks ago. It’s the only dish I eat at red lobster, so I’m very familiar with it. This time the lobster sauce was completely bland, which surprised me. Since I’ve never had this problem before I didn’t know how to remedy it, so I told the waitress, just to let her know. When I told her the sauce was bland, she told me it was “because I didn’t get the shrimp or the tomatoes.” The shrimp and the tomatoes doesn’t add flavor to the SAUCE. How do I know? Common sense and the dish was once “lobster linguini with lobster sauce” and it’s NOW “lobster AND SHRIMP linguini with lobster sauce.” The sauce wasn’t bland before they added shrimp and tomatoes to the dish, but I digress. She offered to make me something else, but as I said, I only eat this. She retrieved the manager and Leticia offered to make me something else as well or to bring some more sauce. I took the offer for more sauce, since I was informed the sauce is made for each dish. This way no one has to remake the dish. I asked my mom to try my dish and she confirmed there was no flavor at all, not salt, not pepper, and definitely not lobster. Literally zero flavor. I was flabbergasted. When the new sauce arrived, I tried it on the pasta, and it was incredibly salty. Leticia said she added “more base” to the sauce to give it more flavor. I’m guessing the base has sodium in it. At this point, I couldn’t find a balance, between the bland dish and salty sauce. Oddly, the cheddar biscuits weren’t as “cheddary” as usual. I assume there’s a new cook or since it was a very crowded night, maybe the kitchen was in a rush. When Leticia returned, she asked how everything was, even offered to take the linguini off the bill, which is the option she is most comfortable with. I told her my current conundrum and how I’d like it to be remade, as most of my dish was still on the plate, and she began, as the waitress had, to patronize me. She titled her head, as the waitress had, and told me “if I remake this for you, I’ll have to waste this and you’ll only be charged for the one you ate. Now what would you like me to do?” My mom was taken aback and I looked at her and blinked. I had said what I wanted her to do and it wasn’t my fault it would be wasted. It’d be wasted if I had to agreed to her first offer to cook me something ELSE and it would have still be wasted if she took it off the bill. She went on “Now do you want me to WASTE this???” and I blinked again, I said “I don’t WANT you to waste it, but-“ and she said “WELL I’ll have to.” Now again, originally she and the waitress offered to make me a brand new dish and my current dish would have been wasted, so I didn’t understand Leticia’s tone as if it was MY fault it had to be wasted. I didn’t make it, I fully expected it to be as it usually was, as it was just 3 weeks ago. My mom interjected and said “we’d like it to be remade, thank you.” The dish returned salty again. I won’t be returning. This was unacceptable behavior,...
Read moreDO NOT USE CURBSIDE PICKUP! I have ordered curbside numerous times and also dined in several times and had mostly positive experiences. Not today, though. The food has been consistently good, and no complaints regarding staff ... until today.
2:30 pm - placed an online order, and food is to be ready by 3:56 pm. 3:59 pm - arrived at Red Lobster, parked in a curbside pick-up parking slot, and checked in. 4:08 pm - received a text message that my food was ready and they'll be bringing it right out. 4:15 pm - food still not brought out, so I called the number on the sign and a guy answered. Gave him my name and he said he'll look for my order and bring it out. 4:22 pm - another vehicle pulled into the other curbside pick up parking slot. 4:27 pm - still no food so called the number on the sign again, same guy answered and I asked for my order since I've been waiting for almost half an hour. I also told him that I would go in and get my order, except that I have a my grandkids in my vehicle and they were all under 10 years old. (I had 6 of my grandkids with me and I did not want to leave them outside, unattended in a hot vehicle while I ran in to get my order). IT WAS 97 DEGREES OUTSIDE. 4:32 pm - guy walks out with 2 orders, and instead of coming to me first, he goes to the other vehicle which arrived AFTER me and had only been there for 10 minutes. He had to have known which vehicle was mine because the make, model and color were on the receipt, stapled to the paper bag holding my order! Plus, my vehicle is a truck and the other vehicle is a car. Very difficult to mix it up.
Needless to say, I was livid! Not only had I been sitting outside in the hot weather with my car running for over half an hour, with the AC blasting, but my grandkids were restless.
To make matters worse, I had added a 15% tip! I always tip, for a number of reasons. First, I want to show appreciation to the workers who showed up to work. Second, I want to give the worker(s) an incentive to be timely and courteous to me. All they had to do was bring my order out within a timely manner. I was patient - waited for 15 minutes before I placed the first call, then another 10 minutes before I called a second time. No apology from the guy who answered the phone and none from the guy who...
Read moreI have not been here for quite a while, but I used to LOVE red lobster and was so excited to get some amazing crab and lobster. Craving some good seafood my girlfriend and I took our kids for the hour comute to Reno.
I hate to complain and it truly takes a lot for me to write a terrible review, however we ALL ended up sick within 8 hours after eating here.
We ordered the lobster seafood stuffed mushrooms which had a soggy breading, oil, and cheese... not any seafood whatsoever... her and I both ordered the admirals feast which had been my go too over the years. The lobster tails had been terribly overcooked and were very chewy, the crab was also over cooked as though it had been left in the pot to sit for entirely too long or had been reheated in a microwave as both my girlfriend and I are both pros when it comes to opening crab, but both of us struggled with every piece to get the meat out. The scampi was really salty and had excessive oil... and the mangoritas had almost no alcohol in them at all. I ordered two extra shots to mix in with them.
Not knowing and not wanting to make a fuss I didn't say anything as I thought perhaps it was just me and my expectations were too high as I dont go out a lot too eat very much anymore. Im aware cost is up as well as employee moral has been low since covid. I wish I had after talking about it on the hour ride home. She felt the same way and for spending 135 dollars plus a 30 dollar tip... we were very disappointed. We will NOT be going back.
I would highly recommend the Atlantis seafood buffet or Dukes steak house in Carson city that both offer amazing quality food.
Our server was really nice and I'm sure had I brought my concerns up he would have tried to rectify the situation, however with so many issues I felt like I would have been labeled a "karen" and working in the customer service industry myself... chose not to address it. Its not his fault that the food was absolutely terrible. Enough so that anyone who ate crab has been in the bathroom for the last 14 hours now.
There are WAY better locations at half the price for better quality food. I hope others have a better experience then we did. Perhaps it was a fluke, but one I'm not willing to...
