Mariscos Las Islitas — Restaurant in Reno

The waitress was nice and friendly. The order took around 25 minutes, not that bad with three other tables being served. We ordered shrimp empanadas. They were ok, not too much taste but they serve them with salsa verde and that save them. We also order ceviche de pescado but they should change the name to ceviche de pico de gallo & pepino. If I’m paying $26 for a fish ceviche, I’m expecting to find some fish in the plate.

Please, if we’re paying $51 for sea food, be honest and prepare a good dish including fish not only tomato, onion and cucumber. We complained with the mesera but there was not reaction from the kitchen. I guess they don’t care about the comensales. We will not come back to the Islitas.

Crappy service we waited 20 minutes just for the waitress to ask what we wanted to drink but when we attempted to order our food she said she was going to quickly bring the drinks and take our order as she was not "ready" keep in mind our drinks took 15 more minutes, food was terrible shrimp over cooked and had an odd pungent smell, waitress had her thong out the whole time deliberately. Not a place for kids. At the time I went around 7pm there was a group of drink trouble makers at a table being loud and obnoxious but I guess that's not on the restaurant but those are the type of people the restaurant seems to attract. I've been to other Las Islitas and everything was great, but definitely would not come back...

I was really excited about this place from looking at the menu online. What a disappointment, the wait time is crazy even doe it wasn’t busy when we got there. The staff is really unprofessional specially the guy Edgar he is super obnoxious and clearly he gives sitting preference to who he knows. We waited more than an hour and he took a group before us even doe they got there way after us. You can’t even sit and enjoy a meal with your family because of how loud the staff is. Arguing and going back and forth about the sitting situation because they are so unorganized and give priority if someone they know comes in. I didn’t even bother asking for a manager because clearly their work...
