Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Reno

Where to begin... as a bakery I can say their products are good, the quality of their cakes are just fine. Where I do have a problem is supporting a place that doesn’t treat their employees as they should. Speaking from personal experience, the atmosphere is immature and stressful, much like being back in high school. Not to mention the business is family run, so if you're not part of the family you're already starting off on the wrong foot. If you come in as a new employee be prepared to feel unwelcome and out of place. Honestly from the 2 days I “worked” there (and by worked I mean barely trained and left on my own before I was told I didn't fit in and was let go when I came into work the next morning). I can say that the company doesn't deserve a single dollar they make because of how they treat their employees. They wouldn't have a business without the people like us making their products available and ready for the public. Go in and shop at your own risk, I promise you their welcoming demeanor is just a front for the terrible way they run a business. I ordered a cake for my daughters birthday on June 12th. I had forgotten to pick the cake up before their closing the day prior. I had received a reminder call from the great staff 30 min before closing the bakery. My wife made her way to the store that had been closed for a bit. The bakers waited for my wife and delivered the cake even after closing. This is great example of service, determination, grit! These people saved my daughters birthday by going a above and beyond! I have so much love and admiration for the staff at Nothing Bunt Cakes and I hope their hard work does not go unnoticed. I will recommend Nothing Bunt Cakes to all my friends and family. My most recent visit was terrible. The cakes are fantastic but due to 1 girl and the way she treated the other employees made me feel very uncomfortable. I do believe her name is Ema, she is very rude & disrespectful to the other girls that work there. She was acting very unprofessional in front of customers so I can only imagine how she acts and treats them when there are no customers looking. This kind of behavior must be tolerated there bc there was another lady I'm pretty sure she was also a boss or supervisor of some sort and she too witnessed this behavior from Emma and said nothing she acted as if nothing was happening. I won't be back nor will my company, at least not until that girl is no longer an employee there and the employees are treated like human beings...
