Starbucks — Restaurant in Reno

We placed a mobile order before heading to this Starbucks location. Both of the drinks we ordered were made correctly, which is always a relief when adding multiple modifications per drink. Our order was ready for the most part by the time we got to the window.

The only issue was that they had run out of ham and cheese croissants (we ordered two, and they only had one left) so they asked what we wanted to replace it with and ended up going with the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. The barista at the window asked us to park in front of the store while we waited for them to heat the sandwich up and no less than a minute later, another barista brought it out to our car. All the of baristas were very helpful and friendly.

We also got a vanilla bean scone and blueberry muffin, which were delicious as per usual.

I deliver for Doordash and was specifically requested to physically confirm each item that this Starbucks location prepared for the order I was picking up. The employee I dealt with this morning said She would not open the bag to look at the items because it was already sealed. I showed her the instructions in the Doordash app on my phone which include breaking the seal if necessary by the employee. She said “No I will not do that”. I replied “Ok” and left. Could have and should have gone much better than that. I have a job to do according to company policy and cooperation should be a straightforward process, but Starbucks has become more difficult to deal with as time goes on. Felt sleepy thought I’d get some coffee before work. First time using the app so I said why not and beat the line. I ordered at 3:20 pm, the app said it would take 5-9 mins. I went inside at 3:25pm. I asked the cashier and she said to go to the other side where the coffee was called out and I waited till 3:35pm asked if my order was ready. They didn’t even know it came through even though I asked the cashier. I waited till 3:45 still nothing. I was going to be late to work.
