Blossom Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Renton

So this was the first time trying this restaurant - and both myself and my partner decided to try it out due to all of the positive reviews. Despite a large number of positive reviews, unfortunately that would not be our case. We entered the restaurant and stood at the please be seated sign for 7 minutes as the two servers walked by several times without acknowledging us. Granted, this may have been an acceptable wait time if they were swamped; however there were maybe 4 other tables at the time that were sat and already eating. At one point, we genuinely believed that they possibly did not actually work there since they had looked directly at us and did not say or do anything.

After being sat, we quickly found what we were going to eat (we had a pretty good idea from looking at the menu online before hand). We sat for 32 minutes with our menus closed, and placed to the side clearly trying to signal to the staff who looked directly at us several times that we would be ready to order.

After 32 minutes a young man came up, asked “what do you want” scribbled it down and left without saying anything else.

Then our food arrived 12 minutes later (I know all very specific times because at this point I was intentionally keeping track of time due to the service to this point) our food arrived. The “Beef, Mushroom, and Bell Pepper skewers” in actuality should have been called “beef, pineapple, jackfruit, and pepper.” Granted this is not a massive deal but still… not what was expected. The food and the “Beef” was actually very good, hence the three stars on the food rating. Our main dishes arrived at the same time as the appetizer, and they were good, nothing amazing but good!

So we get done, and at this point there is 2 other parties/tables. We sat for another 8 minutes…. The only interaction with this staff were the two aforementioned interactions. So we continue to sit and hope someone would come to us… but no. My partner had to go ask for the check and was met with a pretty judgmental look from the server who took our order. The woman who then sat us brought the bill,m. We paid, she brought back the bill with the card, did not say anything while doing so, then walked away. So we just got up and just left. I’m not expecting a paragraph or a grand send off, but maybe a thank you, have a good night, etc etc, would be something.

The service is horrible here. After waiting for 12 mins at the please be waited. I had to walk out to the dining room and ask to place a to-go order. Then, I waited another 47 minutes for my order (that I never received). I timed the average person to be seated that walked in, 15 minutes. Unrealistic wait time for the restaurant, not even 1/3 full. The cleanliness is also unacceptable. Trash everywhere and unlean counter tops and around all walkways, under serving areas viewable from where you sit. I noticed bleach sprays on the serving counter. The servers were directly spraying Bleach on the tables. After waiting 47 mins, I asked a server why my oder is taking this length of time. She said we're busy. I explained I was going to leave, that if my order was not done, I would need a refund. She walked away, and I stood there another 10 minutes until I walked around to see her serving a table and taking orders. I informed her I needed a refund. She then said they were now going to make my order. I told her absolutely not going to wait and that she was extremely bad at her job. After getting a refund, I saw the owner out front. I called the restaurant when I got to my car. After waiting over 2 minutes, one of the two servers answered. When I asked to talk with the manager or owner, I was informed that none were there AT ALL NOR WILL THEY BE THERE. I then walked up to the owner out front smoking after hanging up the phone. I then confirmed he was the owner, I explained what had happened. He then laughed and said it's so busy. I told him he has no idea what hospitality is nor having respect for customers, as he is unable to deal with the chaos and allow it, while watching how upset people were in his business. How are you going to deal with 1/3 of your restaurant full and not able to deal with that? I watched 4 families walk out after waiting over 15 minutes in the entrance. This place needs to...

This place is so amazingly yummy, and fun to be at. The atmosphere alone is amazing and friendly, but the food is the main hit. Of course it should be everything from the appetizers to the entrees. I couldn't express my love for their blossom fried rice, or their shredded pork rolls, or the curry, sesame beef, sweet and sour in words. I love the taste, the texture, the veggies and so much more. Oh man so the blossom fried rice and bacially all the rides were so flavorful and just so good I overage every time, which leads to the amazing portion sizes they have. Shredded pork rolls are my all time favorite, for my boyfriend it's the crispy rolls. The texture in both is so great, I wish they served more because we're so obsessed. Great pricing on all of the drinks, and dishes. I've never had curry other than here but my boyfriend has and he says it's the absolute best. My take on the curry was I couldn't get enough, always stole from his plate but never wanted to share mine. Sesame beef is our go to because of the thick pieces of "Beef" and my love for broccoli. In the winter we are obsessed with getting their pho, I love the chicken one as well as the tofu. I will never ever go anywhere else for a pho than here. I couldn't express my love much more in words for this restaurant, it has been so accommodating and the servers are so amazing, especially Kevin who automatically knows us because I always order under my boyfriend Kevin's name. Please don't judge a book by its cover, if you don't like something try something else. Not every dish is for every one but once you find the one you like you'll be hooked.
