Wild Ginger Teriyaki — Restaurant in Renton

Never going back. I've never had to leave a review like this but this was the worse dining experience I've ever had. We loved this place for a couple of months. The food used to be great. The beef was especially good as it was prepared well and had little to no fat. It was so good we even tried the Broccoli Beef and were pleased. This last time though everything was different. It was inedible. My wife ordered and I picked up. The bill was more than expected, $50 for 3 meals and some sides. We'll be throwing away $30 worth of that as it was not worth consuming.

The rice was overcooked and mushy. There was no extra sauce for the rice. The chicken was flavorless, tasting neither like chicken or teriyaki. The beef was fatty and flabby, having none of the thickness and flavor of the last time we were there. My wife refused to eat it after the first few bites, even going so far as to say it tasted "dirty". She managed to finish her chicken but thank god for gyoza and egg rolls or I wouldn't have had dinner. Whatever happened last weekend while they were closed for renovation was definitely for the worse and we're never going back.

Above all else the service was incredible. Was visiting from out of town and found this place by the good reviews. The lady working the front counter was the sweetest person I've ever met. She was beaming with delight and made every customer feel appreciated. While we were sitting there eating our food she knew practically every customer BY NAME. She was asking about their families and providing a customer experience that is difficult to come by.

Now onto the food... I ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken bento box which came with soup, salad, shrimp & vegetable tempura, California roll, rice and of course the spicy teriyaki chicken. Everything about it was amazing. I am picky with how my chicken is cooked and I was able to substitute white meat instead of dark meat.

My co-worker ordered the same dish but with chicken teriyaki and she enjoyed her food as well. We ate as much as we could as the portion was huge!

Wish I lived closer but next time I'm in town for work I will definitely be back! To top of off, when we went to leave she insisted on opening the door for us. Customer service...

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!!! First time here and I saw the sign and decided to try it out. The food is great and the price is right!! I ordered the combo meat meal and it came with soup and salad. Soup was good and the homemade salad dressing was excellent.

The meal was large and suprisingly it also had good presentation - something you rarely see in take out places. Kudos to the cook as good presentation definitely shows pride in their cooking. I couldn'r finish everything, it was a hearty meal, cooked just right, and tasted great.

Place was clean and although it looked small from the front, there were a lot of tables running down the side of the restaurant.

I have to say that the lady who took my order have excellent customer service skills and very warm and friendly. I ordered take out and she double checked everything and just knew how to pack it right.
