My partner went here over the weekend and enjoyed the breakfast. Said I would love the menu. Checked it out and it had all the things I love plus some. Seemed very creative. When we got there we were greeted immediately and we're sat promptly. Got our menus and drink order done in the first three minutes. Drinks were expensive but decent. We ordered the calamari and a salad to start. The salad was passable. Not bad but not great. The calamari was also just okay but we were surprised that they also had some tempura vegetables on the plate which were great. I ordered their whisky butter rib eye medium rare. My partner got the Verona station burger. My steak was like eating leather hide. It came out well done, except in the middle which was medium well. By the time I made it half way through it was grey. I ate maybe half. The mashed potatoes looked old and hardened on the outside. Most of the seasonal vegetables were fairly mushy. My plate looked a mess. My partner only ate half of her burger. Said it seemed like it was steamed through instead of cooked on a grill or griddle. It had a weird texture. The fries were divine though. I would recommend going here to eat only their fried food. They chef can't cook and their drinks are way to expensive and the waiter was maybe 17. He didn't seem nearly old enough to bring our drinks. I will say the actual environment was comfy and pleasing to look at. Great ambiance.

I usually don't post reviews, and this experience surely warranted one. We were a party of 7 with 6 present and ready to be seated and order. Unfortunately, for some unknown comprehension level, could not rationalize why we could not be seated until the last person arrived in our group. We totally understand when 1-2 people show up out of a 6+ group. Totally understandable. When you got 80-90% of a group present?!? Get them seated, that's missing money right there. We could order a second round of drinks with our missing group peeps. Moral of the story, plan accordingly, you won't be seated until everyone literally is present. We asked for patio seating. Here comes another interesting event that there is no logical rational that could be explaining this. We were asked to come inside the building, and got walked right out the double doors on the opposite side of the hostess podium. We ended up 10 feet from where we started on the patio area. Keep in mind that you have to enter the building via the patio area. Why not just walk us to the table? I can't rationalize this at all. Food was decent and tasty. The fried cheese curds are not cheese curds. Mozzarella sticks chopped up and fried up. Disappointed on that part for sure. The marinara sauce looked and tasted more like a salsa than marinara. It should not have chunks of tomatoes and onions in it.

Upon my last visit first Friday in June '23. A wine-walk was taking place is downtown renton. My party of 7 and I walked in and got a table and it all started with a busser/food runner/host spilling a tray of water glasses almost all over my wife. With a lack luster attempt to clean it up. Then our server arrived do not believe he ever gave his name or introduced himself as our server. We began to order I asked if I could specify a temp on my burger he says I guess so then I requested extra pickles he acknowledged I knew right then it was doomed. My God sister sitting next to me ordered same burger but didn't ask for a temp which default should be well done. Food starts to arrive I ask which burger is this and does the toothpick in this burger signify the medium burger he says idk I guess it's to hold the burger together....(blank stares from the entire table) ...need I say more I could go on bit I doubt anyone e will read the entire thing. In a recap PLEASE ADDRESS YOUR FRONT OF THE HOUSE STAFF AND THEIR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE BEEN FREQUENTING THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR OVER A DECADE AND NOW ILL NEVER GO BACK!.

Have been going to this restaurant for well over a year. Great food always, except for one time. Very nicely, we asked for items to be corrected and received attitude from our waitress. Normally, when we came to this place, the 2 waitresses we ever had were never over friendly and barely said two words to us, but we continued to go because we liked the food. This particular evening, the owner was not in the building so we wrote a note on our receipt so he could be aware of how this woman was treating her customers. A couple weeks later we went in to eat dinner and we were seated at a table. Brought water and a menu. Within a few minutes another waiter came and told us we were “86’d” from the restaurant for being problematic. He realized after talking to us that we weren’t the problem and apologized to us profusely, but we still had to leave until we could talk with the owner. He gave us Mr Lawrence’s phone number and I proceeded to phone him that evening. He was hostile at the beginning until he finally started listening to what I was saying about what happened that one time only that we ever said anything negative. Towards the end of the conversation, he said he could tell what I was saying was true and that he believed me, but felt he needed to talk to the staff first. Apparently up to 5 employees said we were a problem to deal with, which is funny because we have only dealt with the same 2 employees every time we were there. After waiting over a week for a response from him I called him again, in which he said he left me a message with his response, in which he never left a message on my phone. However he decided to believe his staff instead of us so we needed to “sever ties” with each other. It wasn’t like we were ever going to go back anyway, but it’s upsetting to be punished for something that we never did. We have no idea why the employees lied about us, other than they could have us mistaken with 2 other women that may be guilty of these things. It’s very unfair the way we were treated but we didn’t really expect...

Re: "Your neighborhood family pub". (NOT) I won't frequent this place and I will be sure to share with my Renton neighbors ( of a decade) of my terrible, terrible experience at this place. They use to be a friendly place but things have been changing.

The behavior of the owner " Jeff" was barbarous, brutish, bestial, and savage like when responding to my concern with my food. His "Bartender, Ashley did not know how to handle a food situation gone bad. And when I was not willing to wait another 30 minutes for another order, she started to raise her voice to a new level each time. And started to tower over me like a "big bird."She must have thought this was the way to conduct friendly business. This "mamming bartender" needs to learn to lower her voice and behave like a lady. Which she may never have read that handbook, it seems.

Jeff was not interested in the food situation but more in lashing out and loosing control because I no longer wanted to eat there but instead wanted a refund. It was terrible, I had to get the local police ( non - emergency ) involved just to get my money back. In all my time eating at the local places, I have never experienced such (Irrational behavior.) The meal should have been made correct the first time and with customer service. Not yelling and showing feelings of inferiority against a concerned customer.

This place will close down soon enough with this type of treatment of customers. Surely. Luckily, we have Melrose place, The Red House, Berliner Pub, and other yummy places with friendly service.

Simply if they had offered to adjust the bill for the large inconvenience, it would have worked but her comment was " As a courtesy, I will make you another burger." Excuse me...how is that a courtesy to waste my time while your cooks try to get the order right again. They sent me home with this bad order, it was I that caught it and for $24.00 I expect to get the correct order. Next time I will just go to Dukes or Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. They know about...

First let me say that the staff and service we received here was top notch. We did not have bad service at all, and the waitress was both friendly and was great. However we had a first time experience here that I dont think we will ever return.

This place was recommenced by my spouses coworker as having one of the best breakfasts in the area, so we came in with that expectation. The place seemed like it would be great for live music, with a large projector screen that can drop down at one of the far ends of the building, and the tables are huge, able to take large parties easily.

When we were seated there were dust bunnies on the table, (the hostess actually set our menus down on bunnies in separate areas of the table. Not a great sign. I ordered an egg bene, and the spouse ordered a chicken fried steak. We both had coffee.

The eggs Benedict was surprising in that the hollandase sauce had no flavor, while there was nothing WRONG with the order, it just had no flavor. The spouses CFS on the other hand, appeared to be fried at too high a temperature, he described the steak as rubbery, and the steak had actually started to curl and did not sit flat on the plate, it was wavy.

Before I get into the other problem, I will say that the Coffee was very fresh and on point, it was great diner coffee (score another one for the front of the house staff!)

The big problem however came when he started eating the hashbrowns and eggs. I saw him take a bite, and then began spitting out black flakes of something. He pointed out that they were metal. It seems that whatever skillet they prepared part of his meal in had started coming apart and flaked bits of metal into his food. Needless to say, after this he was done.

We did bring this to the waitress who comped his entire meal, but if their cooking equipment is flaking metal, it tells me that their kitchen staff is not putting in required maintenance.

We wont be back here, but again, I want to stress its not due to the front of the...
