I LOVE taco time. Their food is so good. It's a little spendy for fast food but I am indeed a loyal customer. The reason I knocked off two stars for this taco time in particular is because of the service I recieved. I go in yesterday to pick up my online order and i tell the cashier in ordered online and hes just like oh okay. Does not say anything else or point me in the right direction. So I am just standing there confused for 10.minutes because I thought he would have told ke where the online orders were since I had no clue. Then when I am finally helped my food is ice cold because of an issue with the online ordering app. They replace my food but forget my tater tots because they are so busy. By this time I have been inside for at least 20 minutes and I'm over it so I just leave. I wasnt even really impressed with the food after waiting so long to get it. So that was also disappointing. I have interacted with this employee "Jesus" before, the one who didnt tell me where the online orders were, and I wasn't impressed then either. He looked at me multiple times and failed to offer help even though I was trying to signal him with body language. Then a huge line formed behind me and it still took the employees like 3 or 4 minutes to even come to the register to help me. I even heard them whisper I was an online order! And yet they still didnt think to point ke in the right direction. When I used to work in service if I customer looked confused I tried to help them immediately. I admit I should have looked around the store for the online orders but I am just shocked at the service here. They wre busy, but I really feel like that's no excuse to ignore me. I hope this post dosnt make me sound like a grouchy mom who wants to talk to the manager. I just think people should know what they are getting into it they come here during a busy time and are served by the...
Read moreI visit a lot of Taco Time locations and so far this one has been my least pleasant experience. The staff of 6 people were all congregated in the back of the kitchen area when I arrived. I made eye contact with several ladies before the apparent manager asked me if I'd been helped yet. I told her "not yet" and she made eye contact with two employees who then looked at each other for a few moments before one of them rolled her eyes and walked towards the cash register. I had my app open and explained that I would like to get my free crisp taco, she then called over the other employee who furled her brows and reluctantly walked over, only to tell me to just use the scanner and it would include it. I then ordered my large #11 with chicken, she barely spoke a word to me the whole transaction. These girls were simply not interested in being friendly at all. I was nice and spoke in a pleasant manner but no one reflected that back to me even when making the effort to engage in friendly conversation. The food was perfect, the lobby was clean but I was the only person there at 10:30am so I expected to be treated with some courtesy and the crew failed today. I'm not sure if...
Read moreWhen we walked in, crew member Patrick was at the counter. He looked at us and immediately turned away. We waited for a couple of minutes, then noticed the ordering kiosk. As we started to enter our order in the kiosk, a White man walked into the restaurant. Patrick immediately came back, greeted the man, and took his order, asking if he'd like any extras like hot sauce, etc. We canceled the kiosk order and got in line again behind the man who was being served. After Patrick gave him his number for the table, he turned away again and we asked if he would help us. He said, "Oh, you don't want to use the kiosk?" We replied that it was easier to give him the order. He clearly didn't want to help us (I'm a Black woman and my husband is White, so clearly I was his issue). After he took our order, I asked if we could have hot sauce since he didn't offer anything. After that, we noticed him turn away from other people of color who entered the store. We are visiting Seattle after moving away 11 years ago, and this visit reinforced that we made the right decision. Discrimination is ridiculous and is a very bad...
