Called @ 6:09PM to place an order of 7 pupusas and 1 horchata. My phone record tells me the call took 1 minute to make. The women who took the order told me that it would take 30 minutes for pick up. My partner and I were in Swampscott running errands and our gps said 25 minutes to Revere MA. We took our time to give them a chance to prepare our order so we wouldn’t have to wait outside. We got to the restaurant at 6:45PM or a little later. My partner went in and he asked for our order which was under my name and the women said it wasn’t ready. He followed with a question and asked approximately how much longer and she kept asking for payment and ignoring his question. He asked again and she said 30 minutes because I had just called 10 minutes ago. I wish I would post a screenshot of my call to them made at 6:09PM but it isn’t allowing me to post a picture. My boyfriend told them that their service is trash and that he’s all set because when I made that phone call my phone was on speaker. A women who was sitting on a chair who seems to be the owner responded “A pues no lo agares”, in an aggressive tone in Spanish. In English it is translated to “Don’t get it then” My point is don’t waste people’s time and most definitely don’t respond to your customers in that way or tone that’s how places go out of business or get no business. Looking at the other reviews the owner doesn’t seem to be friendly instead a witch with her attitude so women it’s...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant negative starts I would. My mother picked up a total of 8 pupusas tonight, that taste extremely good. To start, the size of these pupusas what we have been eating since I was in elementary school (now out of college for reference), have diminished in size by A LOT, but the price seems to be increasing at the same time.. hmm. While she picked up these 8 pupusas, she noticed the below half filled bag of cabbage and one bag of tomato sauce, FOR 8 PUPUSAS! So she asked if she could please have a bit extra of cabbage, to which their response was that it would be an additional $5.99 for extra. My mother communicated to the owner, who I have to say has to be the rudest owner I’ve come across, that it was unfair to charge extra, given the amount of pupusas purchased and the amount of cabbage they gave for those. Her response was that “everything is expensive now”. My mother at this point was fed up with how rude they are, from when they took the call to when she was checked out at the restaurant. She told the owner that she needs to show respect to customers so her staff follows, because they are all rude. The owners response was “you’re coming here to purchase so you have to have respect”. So to say the least, think twice before wasting your money on this place. My last...
Read moreUpdated review i moved it from 5 stars to 3 because or their hit or miss service. They dont open on time or answer the phone during buisness hours the staff is not always warm and friendly and their prices are higher than comparable places. Other than that this is a Good place for some Authentic Salvadoran food. The pupusas are some of the best that i have had in Massachusetts.they are Almost as good as the homemade ones my grandmother would make. I also enjoyed the Yuca con chicharron. I would have given this place 5 stars based on the amazing pupusas but service can be a hit or miss. One particular waitress seems to always be in a bad mood. I also arrived during opening time and i had to still wait 15 minutes outside for them to open 15 minutes late. I came in one time and it was full you normally sit yourself at this place but no one could even come to the door to talk to me and give me a wait time or greet. They just stared at me from the distance. The service needs to be worked on. Includinf opening late, and without warning being closed on a non holiday alongwith a bad attitude from one waitress. Be prepared to wait for your pupusas. I think they make them fresh and dont use frozen pre...
