Nick's Deli Restaurant breakfast & lunch — Restaurant in Revere

I loved this place as a teenager usually I stick with just a cheese omelette and keep it simple every time. That’s probably why I’ve never been disappointed like this. I saw they offered the hungry man special with steak tips instead of bacon and sausage I’m eating for two so yes I got it and I love steak and eggs but I was sadly very disappointed too much sodium content on the steak marinade and overcooked to literally leather and I asked for them medium rare. They’re inedible. Being in the restaurant business for many years I don’t appreciate when the manager is clearly in the background but it’s not busy and doesn’t come on the phone and tries to act like giving you a discount for “next time” is sufficient. Automatically assuming you’ll come back. It’s rude. I was just charged 20 dollars for one breakfast I asked for my money for the difference for the steak back and I was told to just come in for a discount for next time and it seemed like they were rushing me off the phone. I don’t appreciate it. That being said I like the establishment in general I really like the woman who’s always working there you can tell she works hard and cares about people and it’s seldom to find these days. So I couldn’t say no to her and said I’ll come back next time. But ultimately the bottom line is you go to a food place for the food, not because you like somebody and to me that was a huge reflection of their understanding of good food. I’ve been here twice and both experiences have been horrible!!

My first time there, the service was awful. Was there for a total of an hr and a half and the place was empty. Waited 20 mins just for someone to come over and get my drink order. I ordered a simple ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and they couldn’t even get that right.

My second time there was worse than the first!! Same as the first time, I waited about 20 mins for my drink order. I ordered 2 coffees with milk and it took the server 10 mins to bring it. We placed our breakfast order at that time. Me and my girlfriend waited 40 mins for the food to come out. That’s not even the worst of it. My scrambled eggs were under cooked. Who messes up scrambled eggs? My toast was burnt black and my bacon tasted as if it had been sitting for two days it was so cold. My girlfriend ordered a Greek omelette. According to the menu, the Greek omelette consisted of spinach,tomatoes and feta. When she got her omelette, it had onions in it which she doesn’t like. What if she was allergic to onions?? I am very unpleased with Nicks. They really need to do a better job with their service and making sure customers orders are fulfilled correctly and promptly. I gave them a second chance because we all have off days but I will never go there again nor will I recommend...
