Nonni's Pizza And Grill — Restaurant in Revere

I've been coming to Nonni's for over twenty years. They were always my favorite local pizza restaurant. Best pizza in the area. Unfortunately, the old owner sold the place and it hasn't been the same ever since.

First it started really simple. The new owner wanted to mix things up and changed the recipe, big mistake. There was a lot of push back. People complained and they started offering the original recipe again.

I went in to pick up an order one day a while back and heard the new owner complaining about customers. He was using some "not so nice" language. I found it off-putting and just walked out with my order without saying anything.

They also stopped offering any significant deals and coupons, which the old owner was famous for offering. I've even head from friends that their old coupons were rejected, which, of course, is the new owners' right, but it's not that good for business.

I want to continue to support Nonni's, but for the reasons that I mentioned above I have been much more reluctant. I have been exploring other local options to find something that is similar or better...

Usually pretty good food and timely delivery. However, after tonight and waiting an hour and fifteen minutes for a large cheese pizza and literally nothing else, they told me I was rude for calling back and asking where my pizza was. For context, I called back and had asked (admittedly sounding a bit annoyed because it had been over an hour at that point) and asked them if the driver was lost, which was a genuine concern as other delivery drivers get lost in the area due to the same looking houses and weird streets. They responded "They're five minutes away" to every question I asked. I didn't cuss, I didn't yell, and I barely gave an attitude for a pizza that was, at the latest, supposed to be delivered 45 minutes after the first call. This was really shocking as, in the past, they were very good at delivering on time with good food, but the food came lukewarm. I really wanted to leave a good review as this is my one of my favorite pizza joints around, since I was little, but this service and delivery was subpar and not like the Nonni's I used...

So tonight on March 7th 2025, my son and I ordered a cheese Pizza from here and he tells my son that it will be 45 min. the latest as they're real busy. Understandable but here it is an hour later I ask my son to call back as I'm sitting next to him he asks hi I ordered a pizza an hour ago can ya u tell me how much longer gives address again he says 15 min so we wait 15 more minutes still no pizza he calls back now àll the time still being nice lucky I didn't call he tells my son another 5 min well, 12 min later the pizza finally gets here. We start to eat it not only does it taste like it's been sitting for awhile it was barely even warm so now I'm upset , I call and let them know we always order from Nonnis and never had that type of service, so the gentlemen and I use that phrase lightly does not say sorry for the inconveniences sorry for anything, he hangs up on me, Wow! Way to...
