The confusion within the entire Albertsons corporation is staggering. Not only does the store itself, but corporate offices do not know how to redeem gift cards or what a cash account is. The director of the Rexburg store issued a 50 dollar gift card to me because one of his cashiers was on a politically charged rampage prior to and while checking my groceries which was very uncomfortable and stressful. I do believe this person was fired. When I contacted the director about the inability to use the card, he told me to come in and he would have a person there who would take care of me. That person had absolutely no clue of what was going on and seemed very annoyed in having to do her job. She told me that the director said something to her about me going to come in, but she still had no clue. She still ended up doing it wrong and I ended up paying 30 dollars more than I should have, even after pointing out step by step the mistake she was making. Albertsons has been in the community for as long as I can remember and has been a solid shopping experience. When they put in the self check out, app discounts and coupons and had STAFF CHANGES, that experience is now gone. Quality customer service has disappeared. I am equally disappointed that I will refuse to do business with Albertsons any longer. Shopping for groceries while dealing with this kind of incompetent staff and trying to save money in the process is not worth the hassle. Winco will...
Read more(I am posting this review regarding the bakery)
As a former employee of Albertsons, I exepted a high quality of work when I ordered my son's birthday cake from the bakery. I placed the order 4 days in advance. Plenty of time to make a simple cake. I asked for a 1/2 sheet cake with white buttercream frosting and a cartoon Dinosaur printed on the front with my son's name on it. When I went to pick it up I opened the box and it was small, an ugly shade of green, and with some weird frosted volcano in the corner. It was no where near what I had asked for. I complained and the lady addmiited she had read the order form wrong and made the cake based off of her creative abilities. I told them I didn't want to pay for this and the manger offered to do nothing but give me some cupcakes as compensation. I wasnt about to take cupcakes to a toddlers birthday party. That would be a huge mess! I asked if I could exchange if for a different one and she once again told no because they couldn't re-sale a cake with a person's name on it. I ended up keeping it, but was very unhappy. Luckly the cake was delicious. No sure I would recommend ordering from this bakery, but I do...
Read moreAlbertsons in Rexburg is a solid option for grocery shopping, especially if you’re already an Albertsons fan like I am! While the store is smaller than some of the other grocery stores in town, it’s clean, well-organized, and the employees were friendly and helpful.
The standout for me was the produce department, it had a great variety, everything looked fresh, and the layout was neat and easy to shop. Definitely one of the better produce sections in town.
Parking is plentiful, which is great, but the lot could use a little updating, watch out for potholes when entering or exiting.
One of the biggest advantages of shopping here is the Albertsons app. I use it regularly in my hometown and was happy to see the same amazing digital deals available here in Rexburg. I’ve saved thousands over time with their coupons and offers, and it truly sets them apart from other local stores.
If you’re looking for savings and quality, Albertsons is a great choice in Rexburg, just keep an eye on the...
