It seems like they’re most concerned with making some quick money instead of making life long customers.
They don’t seem to want to invest in their employees or overall system.
Their pizza is inconsistent in flavor and taste.
There are cons to ordering from them.
I put in a pre-order 3 days in advance for a pizza party. Once the order didn’t arrive at 6:30pm we waited..... after 30 minutes and a hungry family I called them. I was told that it would be delivered any minute. After ANOTHER 30 minutes I had to call again to figure out where the pizza was.
The phone was answered with a “hello”.... I thought it was a wrong number or someone just answering their cellphone. I had to ask if it was doorzza’s. They need better training— actually, who doesn’t answer a place of business telephone professionally with a little common sense? Maybe it was an “off day”.
Anyway, after being put through the run around I finally got to talk to the same guy who I’d spoken to before. He tried to tell me that my pizza wasn’t supposed to be delivered for another 2 days.
I had a confirmation number and email available stating that my pizza should have arrived over an hour ago.
I also had put in additional future orders which I had them cancel.
They eventually offered me a free pizza.. so I ordered a brownie to go along with it paid for by me. They later showed up but without the brownie.
Instead of calling back right now to make sure I wasn’t charge— I’m gonna have to save that for later because I’d rather spend the remainder of my evening with my family.
I’m willing to amend my review if the owner reaches out— but overall it was a BAD experience.
I thought Doorzza was gonna be my new pizza place for FHE’s, mid week dinners, get togethers and special occasions.
And to top it all off the driver was less than friendly when he dropped...
Read moreMy wife and I order from Doorzza around once every 3-6 weeks. On average it's a good pizza for it's price. It's about the same price as Little Caesar's but definitely better quality. The portions are a good size, they have an even distribution of toppings, and their delivery isn't bad at all.
However, there are times when it's AMAZING. Tonight, December 4th, we ordered a pepperoni pizza that was just perfect. Loaded with pepperoni, it was thin with a nice crust, had tons of herbs and seasonings that were prominent and delicious, and it was nearly addictive. The breadsticks were also amazing. They had a nice rise, even distribution of cheese and seasonings, and had little patches of green herbs that at least made me feel slightly less pig-like if nothing else. I also think that I could taste fresh garlic on tonights food instead of the powdered garlic flavor that most places use, but I might be wrong. Whoever was cooking tonight deserves a raise. As far as desserts go, their brownies are always great! I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of their cookies but I won't just a pizza place based on their cookies.
Anyways, it's usually a good place and well worth it's price, but sometimes you hit the jackpot and get a quality pizza worth way more than what you paid. There was one time where they accidentally messed up our breadsticks, but when I called them, they were apologetic and were quick to deliver our correct food.
I would recommend Doorzza to broke college students on a budget, to couples on a movie night, for pizza parties, and families who didn't have time to cook dinner. 10/10
EDIT: Oh and also their website is great. Really simple to order a pizza through their website which is a nice change from the websites of nation wide chain restaurants...
Read moreNot sure what they need to do to fix their delivery service. I mean it's essentially a delivery only service and they can never get their deliveries figured out. Ordered at 6:20 said it was going to be 7:50 we had some stuff to do so whatever. An hour and a half delivery time is a lot but it was fine for this time. Anyways our delivery time rolls around and nothing. So I Give it 10 minutes And still nothing. So I call he says the delivery is on its way it left the shop so it's with the driver so should be there soon. 25 minutes later still no pizza so I call he says well yeah if he hasn't delivered it yet I'll just make it and send it out here in the next 20 minutes. So at best we would have had our pizza an hour after the delivery time. Basically no apology from who I talk to weren't sympathetic at all didn't even act like they were inconveniencing us more like I was inconveniencing him by calling. I don't care who you are if you do that to someone you should comp their meal. I get that sometimes those places get behind whatever but you need to warn customers and not to screw them an hour after the delivery time. I also tried to offer some suggestions to whoever I was talking to and he was very short didn't even want to hear anything. I wasn't being angry just constructive told him I'd rather pay a dollar or two more per pizza and have better delivery service. Seems like I'm far from the only person that has issues with their delivery and they never seem to do anything about it. We have been pretty loyal doorza of customers and have always dealt with the qwerks but this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. If he would have been more sympathetic and maybe offered a discount or something maybe a...
