I used to come here everyday for breakfast and more times than not I would be back for lunch. One morning I decided to get breakfast with my coffee. As I pulled into the lot, I saw the drive thru line was about 10 cars long, and some employees working on the talking machine there. I figured I'd go inside because I was at the time on break at work. I ordered the same thing I order every morning, a mcchicken biscuit w cheese, only to be told they don't offer a mcchicken biscuit. I figured the cashier must be a new employee. She eventually got the manager to come over and type it in for her. They were quite busy with the whole drive thru situation so I was standing there for a good 10 minutes. I finally am handed my order, when I notice it felt way different weight than what I was used to. I checked it to find a normal mcchicken sandwich(at 9am). I turn around to bring it back to the register to request the correct item, and the person who made the food very, VERY rudely said "did I mess it up or something" to which I responded yeah I ordered a biscuit with cheese. I now am back in the 10 minute wait area. When she hands it to me this time, I explicitly asked "did you put cheese on it?" only to be responded to with a very doubtful "I think so" I get the next order and bring it to my car. Check it again, and no cheese, which I had paid extra for. Are you kidding me? This is the reason every McDonald's has a "now hiring" sticker tattooed on all the windows, because you treat your employees like absolute garbage to a point where we, the customers, can just expect them to screw up. Read moreI travel often, and I find it strange that this town is the only one that upcharges EVERYTHING they can. They inconvenience the customer wherever they see fit, they do not correct their mistakes, I rarely place an order that comes with everything the way I asked. I was missing a whole sandwich the last time I came and didn't even come back because I had made it all the way home before the discovery. It was not a large order. On top of that they don't offer menu items found in other locations- such as the spicy mcchicken that has been back for quite some time outside of this franchise area. They also do not allow for deals and bonuses to be used at the same time which I recently discovered is a rexburg thing. Other locations allow it without issue. Crazy right? They also do not charge for extras such as extra mayo on your burger, or tomato to be added, extra lettuce, etc. When you are not in this area. But in rexburg, they do charge for those things. It strikes me as rather seedy to be charging more wherever possible when located in a college town such as rexburg. Especially when the student population and locals would support the location MORE if they weren't trying so hard to get every single penny. They also have reemployed individuals who were known to have problems with others. I don't like the way they run things unfortunately but it is what it is. I am only sharing my opinions on their locations. I am unsure how far you have to travel to avoid these things, but I do know they are not done everywhere and most locations I have visited elsewhere do not have the problems I have...
Read moreOct. 30th, must have been Hellnight at this location. I went in, up to the counter because I hate the do it yourself kiosk. I ordered a number 2 (quarter pounder meal) no onion no mustard. Medium size. And a filet o fish ( just the sandwich) to go. The wait was longer than normal, but they were slammed in the drive through, so, understandable. My order came up checked the bag and found 2 cheese burgers, a filet o fish and no fries. I told them, the manager? Came out and asked 5 or 6 times if I ordered a number 2 with no mustard, no cheese. I answered yes each time except the last time, The last time I became more stern, and told him I ordered Freakin #2 MEAL WITH NO ONIONS AND NO MUSTARD AND A FILET O FISH! . He called me to the register told me to give him back the change, I did, he re rang it, gave me back more change, and then told me it would be right up. Seconds later he comes out with a new smaller bag with a #2. WITH mustard and no onions, and no filet o fish. Again I told him my order was incomplete. He flustered went to the first bag, pulled out the now frigid filet o fish dropped it in the new smaller bag and said "that's everything right" all I could do was shake my head and thank him. Bad service, lead to frustration on both sides of the counter His fix was to add a punkin pie, I don't like McDonald's pies. So there's that.
