Decent, overpriced, pizza, and nauseating customer service. Here we go again, I acknowledge that I’m wrong for coming back here, (you know: “fool me once...”, etc..), after being accused of presenting a counterfeit coupon.
I’m all about second chances, and Beggars does, usually, have good food. The customer service seems to be intentionally bad, based on my experience and some recent reviews. Maybe they came up with a new Theme “Beggar’s, we treat our loyal customers like Bums.” Like a bootleg Weiner’s Circle, without the awareness. I don’t have any other explanation for such contemptable service.
I deleted the previous negative review and started coming back right before the holidays. Recently, I ordered a large sausage and half green olives. My online receipt confirms that I ordered it as I intended and designated the pizza to be cooked “regular”.
I arrived at 712pm to pick up a order that was due at 711pm and was told to come back in 10 minutes (no problems here.) I came back picked up my order got home and the pizza was almost fully burned and had olives all over it (see photos). I called, was put in contact with the manager, and I started to explain the situation. As I was talking, he interrupted me saying “I can’t take it back if any of it is missing!"
I explained to him that I had not eaten any, and he told me he would remake the pizza in a half hour. When I pulled up to exchange the pizza, he and another employee stood at the window talking for a few seconds, while staring at me through the glass before they opened the window, took the original pizza came back a few minutes later, and told me to come back in 20 minutes.
I got no apology, no acknowledgment that my order was wrong, and no regard for my time and expense incurred because of their mistake. This review will not be deleted under any circumstance. Their pathetic customer service needs to...
Read moreThe service at the Richton Park location has been horrible for a while I haven’t ordered from here in a while but had a taste for it and decided to give it a try BAD idea I requested lightly browned and it wasn’t first off I was told 30 min which is what they tell everyone how if I’m asking for my pizza to be browned 🤔 then I get there and they ask me to pull in slot 3 and they will bring it out in 5 min which turned into 10 😒 then I opened the box to check it and the guy says oh maybe it’s like that cause we cut it out the brown cheese got pushed down 😒😒😒 so I’m like is there a supervisor or manager there and the guys says yes can you pull to the window I get to the window and the manager JJ comes and instead of simply apologizing and offering a solution he offers excuses first he looks me in my face and says that they were rushing I’m like that’s not an excuse for my money I can’t believe that you thought that was ok to say to a customer especially when I was prepared to wait I didn’t order a rush pizza I asked for a lightly browned pizza then he says well it is rush hour and we were trying to push the pizza out so we didn’t get backed up I’m like there is a difference between rushing and rush hour and neither one is an good excuse especially because if you look at my order history you will see all the times I’ve had the same issue and complained and returned the pizza for a refund or was given a credit then he says I can put it back in the oven and I’m like then the crust will be hard then he was like I can remake it for you I’m like and waste another 30 minutes of my time 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤 plus ion know what y’all might do to my order no thanks 🙂↔️ I should’ve went with my first mind and went to Giordano’s...
Read moreIt saddens me to write this review. I have supported this Beggars since they opened. Today, I ordered $90+ in food for delivery. On top of that, because I believe in supporting local businesses, I gave the driver a $20 tip. The reader that was used destroyed my credit card, so much that the driver acknowledged the fault of the reader multiple times. After the establishment took my card over the phone, and it was approved, I asked the driver to be sure to let his manager know. He responded "definitely ". He looked at the card again and apologized. I said, " no worries , just let them know because I will be calling them." When I called, the manager told me "I am sorry, I suggest you get a new card". I politely responded " ok, will you provide a comp for the inconvenience?" He said " no, sorry. Just get a new card". I then said " being that my card was in tact before you swiped it, and now I am unable to use it, most businesses would provide a coupon or comp for my next purchase" He responded " again, I am sorry but I can't do anything".
This was totally unacceptable. I spend A LOT of money at this location, and to be, in my opinion, blown off, I will not be back. I can not use my card for several day because I have to request a new card, because of their faulty machine. I am so disappointed at the inability to , at least, try to offset your...
