Chatoria took my order. I specifically asked for Cajun Sparkle, hot sauce, and honey since they forgot them the day before. When I checked my bag, none were there. I asked again, and she gave me only 3 hot sauces and 2 honeys, for a 10pc family meal. I asked for more, and she caught an attitude.
I also ordered a Rojo chicken sandwich which comes with pickles, but I checked the order and it didn’t have the pickles. When I asked about my pickles, she said they ran out, yet still tried to give me an incomplete order, and would have gave it to me if I didn’t check. I asked for a refund, and she got even more attitude. The manager gave me a cash refund even though I paid by card, which was frustrating. This location is hit or miss. Sometimes good, but often the workers have bad attitudes. I shouldn’t have to walk you through doing your job correctly!
NEWWW UPDATE
I left a review a few days ago about receiving an incomplete order missing condiments and pickles on my Rojo sandwich. I appreciated the response that the matter would be addressed, but unfortunately I experienced similar issues during my visit today.
This time, I ordered a Rojo sandwich again with extra sauce and the new ghost pepper wings. I was informed that the ghost pepper wings were unavailable, which I understood. However, after paying at the window, I asked if my sandwich had the extra sauce and was told yes. When I then asked about the pickles, Shakirah, who took my order and handed me my food, told me no—even though they normally come on the sandwich.
This has been a recurring pattern across my recent visits. On a prior visit, I ordered ghost pepper wings and was given buttermilk ranch instead of the sauce that comes with them. On another, condiments were missing. Each time, I have had to request a refund or clarification at the window. While Shakirah did not have an attitude, she gave the impression that my concerns were an inconvenience rather than something to be taken seriously.
I truly believe these issues can be resolved with stronger management oversight. A simple step, such as holding a shift meeting to remind employees to (1) notify guests upfront when items are unavailable and (2) double check that orders are complete before handing them out, could prevent these recurring problems.
I enjoy your food and want to continue being a loyal customer, but I hope management can take proactive steps to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and customers leave satisfied. I know if I was to say I’m never coming back the mangers would act as if they don’t care and would probably do so in front of their staff. Just get it together, there’s no need for people to want to never come back. Also I noticed when the employees tell the manager they need a refund the manager never ask them what went wrong(what’s the problem). Maybe if they asked what went wrong they would notice what the staff is doing wrong and they...
Read moreHorrible!! I had just arrived in Chicago from Los Angeles. We were hungry & we went to this popeye's and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a Popeyes or fast food restaurant ever in my entire 55 yrs of life!
The young man who was helping us was either illiterate slow or both.. We ordered a specific menu item and it was taking him forever, when I asked what what the holdup was, he said he " I'm looking for it"
He couldn't seem to figure out what I was ordering.. At least five times I said "no I want the family tender pack, which came with 12 tenders, four sides and biscuits and drinks..
He didn't even ask which sides I wanted. He said it just comes with fries, which was not true..
We sat in the drive through with this guy trying to figure out what he was doing for at least 5 or more minutes.. he wasn't talking. There was no communication, it was just dead silence..
Finally, a female comes on... She has a major attitude.. She asked us what the problem is.. The problem was, you have an illiterate person trying to work here who either can't read or doesn't understand pictures, either way, it was taking too long and I had seen previous cars in front of us, pull out of the drive through completely, and now I understood why..
So now we're dealing with miss attitude.. We have to start all over with the order and go through everything I had just went over.. She's young, ghetto and talking to me crazy, but at this point, we just want to get through with the process..
When we finally finished ordering with her, we get to the window and she says it's going to take 8 minutes for them to cook our chicken tenders.. Now, given how long we had been in the drive through, which is well over 10 minutes at this point, she could have told us that they didn't have any ready when I ordered them and I would have ordered something else because I had been there 15 minutes at this point..
So we're at their mercy of all these illiterate, and inconsiderate people, and we pull over and we sit to the side to wait another 8 minutes for our food..
We're sitting there and sitting there and realizing at this point 10 minutes has come and gone & no one has come to our car & no one has brought the food, it's a complete fiasco..
We have to get out the car & go up to the window.. At that point, it's like an additional five minutes and we finally get the food..
Not much is open in Olympia Fields. After 10 and If we weren't hungry and it wasn't so late we would have just went somewhere else..
Worst experience ever at a Popeyes & worst experience ever ordering fast food... A complete nightmare and I will never play ever visit this location again.
Note to management: higher literate, people...
Read moreI have to come here and say this because this place is too egregious to not have a review. I rarely go to this location but every time I do there is some kind of issue. I have been there and been told at the drive through that they can only accept the exact payment in cash and only the exact payment meaning they can't make any change for cash. No credit, no debit, exact cash because apparently they can't get cash or coins but want to continue to be open. Last night I went to the drive thru and was told "we only have ghost pepper wings". I paused and said ok and continued to order "we don't have any Mac and cheese". By the way-if you DO get the Mac and cheese please look at your receipt- they charged you 50 cents more for it. Where do they do this?? Question: why are you open?? Why does this establishment ALWAYS have some problem?? Why is this place run by black people always NOT READY? WHY ARE YOU IN A BLACK NEIGHBORHOOD WANTING BLACK PEOPLE TO PATRONIZE THIS FARCE??Always sub standard yet still running like you opened a corner store with your income tax money. It's embarrassing. Please stop. This is why black businesses get the reputation they get. Just have some integrity and close the doors if you didn't get your supplies. This location is absolutely horrendous. It begs the question of how are you operating a business for chicken and only have one item available. A chicken spot with no chicken. Unless you lost food because of catastrophic event-which means you should close until resolved-how does your inventory get to the point of depletion?? It reminds me of a Madea movie. If interested search Madea ham and cheese on you tube to see what I mean. I would like to go on record with my sentiment being ZERO stars for having...
