I was extremely happy when I became a resident of Park Towers a couple of years ago. Now not so much, I'm not happy anymore especially with the changes that are taking place at Park Towers. I once bragged about Park Towers now I'm ashamed to tell someone that I live there. The incentives for residents have been taken away, such as if you pay your rent early you get a 100.00 off, summer ending barbecues hasn't happen the last two years. Residents use to look forward to those fun events.
The laundry room is always hot, the air conditioner hasn't worked in months and it's miserable in there while doing your laundry. The screens are missing to the patio doors, the machines take your money it's a hassle to get your money back and the price of the washer/dryers constantly increase. It's not cleaned on a daily basis. The hallways smell really bad and the carpet used to get vacuumed weekly. When you take your trash out there is trash laying out on the floor. The elevators are nasty and not cleaned and are out of order more often than ever. At one point they were both out. And once for over a period of at least 6 weeks one of them were out of order.
Just as I read some of the other reviews I see what they had to say but what I've seen since living here. I understand the upkeep of the overhead is huge to keep these units up to part here at Park Towers and repairs that are needed. But every 2-3 weeks the water is shut off for the most part what repairs are being done or corrected?
But the most upsetting change is how does a company enforce a rule in the middle of a residence lease of how many visitors they can have at their apartment where they pay rent?
Then you are only given one visitors' pass per lease holder. It's very embarrassing to tell your guest they have to leave at a certain time because their car will be towed if they stay any longer. How embarrassing it is to choose which family member that has come from out of town to visit you and you tell them they can't stay because you only have one visitors' pass and you don't want their car to be towed. And if the pass is lost or stolen the replacement fee is 75.00, perhaps that can be reconsidered or maybe 5.00 or 10.00 dollars for a replacement? Just a suggestion how about giving the resident 2 visitors' passes. That might eliminate some of the issues that are happening. Already there aren't any residents incentives they have been eliminated and no resident appreciation day. I've read quite a few of the post and had people ask me about Park Towers right outside the property all I say is it's ok. I've seen a lot of people move out and heard their conversations as to why they are leaving and they weren't good. I do understand people need to have a place to live and the units of Park Towers need to be filled but the quality is very poorly chosen. And word of mouth...
Read moreDo not move here! This apartment complex is filthy and very unprofessional. The elevators have had urine on them, water pipes have busted, fire alarms are always going off, the water would get shut off every other week, there's always a domestic going on, the fire department and ambulance are always called, the trash overflow and garbage rooms are beyond unsanitary, cars are stolen, the downstairs doors were always broken compromising the safety of the residents, etc. Personally, a stranger walked right into my apartment as I was preparing for a nap. I called the office to report what happened and they ensured that the doors would be fixed. The doors were still unlocked months after the incident. This place is a piece of garbage. The bathrooms are always malfunctioning! The elevators barely work. They frequently got stuck!!! The washer and dryers operate properly when they want to! Bring a professional cleaning company upon move in or be prepared to scrub for the life of you because they do not clean/sanitize the units the right way. My apartment was filthy upon move in and I had to beg for a new refrigerator as the one that I originally received had red stains in it. The blinds were filthy and dirty. I had to beg for replacements for those. I threatened to put my belongings back on the moving truck and they promised they would fix the things I complained about. I should've just left to begin with. The heat in the winter from the heaters is horrible. Prepare to wake up with nose bleeds. The shower rods and sinks are RUSTED. The building is borderline unsafe and falling apart. Rent at your own risk. The pricing for these apartments not worth it. Look elsewhere! The halls always smell Like weed. They overwork their staff. This place needs to be shut down! And please don't forget about the package theft if it's left in the lobby!! They let literally anyone move in here and wonder why it's not peaceful. The only building that they keep half way decent is the one with the rental office in it (A). I'm so glad I moved. And now a year later, they're putting fees on my credit about statements after I paid my balance and moved out. Slumlord of a company. The village should've been shut this place down! I had to leave my apartment because it smelled like smoke so bad because the tenant was barbecuing on the patio which is a fire hazard. I was afraid for my children and I safety here as we slept because you just don't know what to expect. I always had to think about how we would escape since we lived on...
Read moreThe Property Manager Joya is absolutely amazing. She was very proactive with helping me choose my apartment. Very knowledgable and patient. The apartment is really nice and very modern. I look forward to my stay at Park Towers.
2022 STILL HAVE WATER AND PLUMBING PROBLEMS!!!! Water gets cutoff constantly Fast forward to a year later, we have resigned our lease and I honestly wished I didnât. This place has really disappointed me. They should lose the sign that says luxurious apartments because it is far from it. Since Iâve been here there is constantly a water problem or plumbing problem. Every other week they are cutting the water off for hours at a time inconveniencing the residents. I mean itâs ridiculous. And do you think they offer rent credits , Nope !! Sometimes they fail to give you a heads up that the water will be cut off. Theyâll tell us a certain time to expect the water on and itâs never on..
The elevators are always breaking down.. the halls smell horrible , and as far as drinking the water ...oh , FORGET ABOUT IT!!! itâs takes maintenance weeks to come and fix work orders.
A couple months ago they offered $500 if you refer a friend. Had a sign and all in the parking lot. I referred my aunt and went to the property manager Joya to sign the papers. She wasnât able to find the papers due to a switch in there online system and it took a couple more tryâs for her to get back to me. Once she finally got back to me and I came in to sign the forms I noticed it said a $200 rent credit. I told Joya that the sign outside did not say $200 but $500 and she looked confused like she never seen it. Luckily it was another lady there who actually verified that there was a sign. However, she played confused and still insisted that it was $200 and when I went back out to see the sign maintenance too the sign down. WOW!! After that incident I have been completely over park towers and itâs staff.
And to top it all of they had the audacity to go up on our rent. Currently thinking about breaking the lease because this is not how I want to live especially with an infant son.
Do better...
