S2 Grills - Richton Park — Restaurant in Rich Township

I’m glad there is a location closer to the south burbs now! The closest was Orland park before this location opened. I did take out for dinner last night and spent about $50-$60 for myself alone. I got the steak and added a side of asparagus, also tried a dessert, and 2 of the lemonades. I’ve had the steak before from another location, which prompted me to get it again because it was delicious. It was a bit overcooked (asked for medium well and it came well) but still tender, delicious, and very well seasoned. The sides (loaded mash, macaroni & cheese, and asparagus) were okay. The lemonade was okay, I probably wouldn’t pay $6 for the bottle again though. I’m only taking a Star away for the price. The food is good but $60 for that is a bit egregious though. I pay cheaper or around the same at actual sit down restaurants. I wanted to try a bit of everything, but just be prepared if you want dinner, a drink, and something sweet to spend at minimum $40-$50. I’m more so bothered that they charge $7 for a side of asparagus and this is all you get (see pics). Service was very friendly though and they were pretty quick to have been packed when I walked in! I also enjoyed the convenience of the order screen. While everybody waited in line, I walked in and ordered my food immediately via the order kiosk on the wall. I actually don’t approve of the 1 star but you have to select something to leave a review. I ordered a turkey burger/fries and was told it’ll be a 20 min wait but I received NOTHING after waiting 25mins. I went in to check (after realizing the 20mins wait time was up) how much longer it’ll be until my food was ready and was told “oh they ran out of turkey burgers and didn’t say anything until after you ordered” (WHAT) so I’ve waited 25mins for nothing. Had I not gone in to check then what? I could’ve been waiting much longer smh. They take customers phone numbers to call when a persons food is done but did NOT think to call to say that what I ordered was NOT available. Instead they had me wait on something for 25mins only to say that I won’t receive what I ordered, a total waste of time. The owner left out and drove away, I had to ask the lady in front to call him back because he is the only person that can submit a refund.. I was given a refund but duh you have to seeing how you do NOT have what I ordered. Bad service overall, DO BETTER. I Will...

I’ve ordered from here a few times and have really enjoyed several items on the menu. The steak tacos and fried chicken sandwich are absolutely delicious—definitely favorites of mine!

The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is because there’s a little room for improvement in a few areas. The hamburgers tend to be a bit drier than expected, and the chicken tenders don’t quite match the quality of the fried chicken breast. They come across as pre-packaged rather than freshly prepared. They’re still decent for the price, but I think they could be elevated with a bit more attention.

I also tried the fried catfish today. While it was okay, I was hoping for the same bold seasoning used on the chicken breast—it seemed like it just had the fish coating without much flavor.

Overall, I do enjoy ordering from here and will definitely continue to do so. A few small tweaks could make the experience...
