IBPS Dallas — Local services in Richardson

I have been to the Buffet at the International Buddhist Progress Society (IBPS) a couple times in the last 2 months (July & August 2025) for lunch. A friend from Taiwan who brought me has been coming here for many years. If the front door is locked please ring the doorbell, and someone will let you in. Buddha's Light Private School is located on the 1st floor. The cafeteria is located on the 2nd floor. It can be accessed by an elevator, or by walking up the stairs. The price is $10 cash. That includes a Bento lunch box with vegetables, and your choice of regular or spicy rice. There is also a small self-serve buffet with more vegetables, fruits, and desserts. A dispenser with cold, room temperature, or hot water (for tea) is located by the wall near the trash containers. Everyone who works or volunteers here was very courteous and helpful. All the food was good. Also located on the 2nd floor is the Water Drop Teahouse. I waited for my friend there, and talked with a person dining in. He said everything was good. I took a picture of the menu. I'll check it out soon. There are many pictures & photos on the walls of the hallways. My friend took me on a tour of the Temple, souvenir shops, & other offices on the 3rd floor. They have free literature and CDs with more information. Some are in English. The food is very tasty and the price is unbeatable. The ambiance isn't much but it is a calm place. If gluten is just a word to you, go and be well-fed. But celiacs and NCGS people should beware.
