Best Donut — Restaurant in Richardson

I will explain my points for the review at the end. I left my work and had passed this place everyday, It was new so I thought why not try it instead of the other places I usually go to. time was a bit after 5 am. the lady welcomed me and I started looking at their donuts, new place so you have to look at what they have before you pick. started looking and the lady calls my attention "are you going to buy anything" the place was empty so there shouldn't be a need to hurry me up. so I settle for a glaze and a cruzant pig in a blanket. she rang me up and was nice again. once in my car on the way home I took the donut out and it was skinnier that many of the other places I bought them at and since I work nights I always get donuts on the way home, but they cost more than the other places. ate the donut and moved on to the pig on a blanket, the lady had warmed it up for me so I was waiting for a good warm bite, it was warm but it tasted chewy almost like if the center had not cooked all the way. Unfortunatly from my first experience I will delay visiting this place again for now

THE STATE OF THE SHOP: gets a Star for being clean THE ATMOSPHER: gets a star for being open and accessible THE COSTUMER SERVICE: she might have been a bit rude with her comment but she did greet me and thank me so it gets a Star. THE FOOD TO COST: being to other shops and the donuts have been bigger for less cost so no star there. TASTE: the pig on a blanket tasted raw at the center, donut tasted just like all the other places so the size actually pulled it back since it has nothing to offer for what its taking. so no star there

Hands down the best donut shop in an 5 mile radius in my area. Hell, might even be the best in a 10-15 mile radius for me.

The base donuts are proofed very well, every time I've been they are consistent on their proof time and leavening. Light and airy and I've yet to have an over-fried donut or donut fried in old oil.

The glaze donuts aren't overly sweet and they are glazed wonderfully. Glazed donuts and donut holes are a true litmus test for me for a the quality of a donut shop and Best Donut lives up to their name.

The staff is warm and welcoming! I love visiting and wish I could go more often, but my doctor...

Been here twice already. We're new to the area and looking for our go-to donut shop.

Our 3yo has not found a good tasting chocolate donut with sprinkles. Other donut places has bad tasting chocolate sauce...so he ends up not eating the donut. But holy cow, he devoured the chocolate donut from here. He also ate the blue frosted donut with a sour rainbow on top.

My favorite were the giant jalapeno sausage croissant ones and the spinach one and the donut twist (which sells out fast). :D Of course, the donuts are amazing. Ya don't feel sluggish after...
