First Chinese BBQ - Richardson — Restaurant in Richardson

I don’t know why we always end up coming back here.. oh wait yes I do. The food is always good. Everything else is worst in the business.

Food:

Every dish we get here is a delicious. Our usual dishes are Wonton Noodle Soup with Duck and Chinese Broccoli aka 106 with broccoli. Orange Beef/Chicken. Sizzling oysters and combination fried dish. Any dish you get will be delicious. These are real and authentic Chinese chefs. The food is the only reason we come back and endure their staff’s horrendous attitude and service.

Service:

Worst service anywhere. I challenge you to find worse service. The waitresses are all uptight and rude. They could careless about you, as long as you pay and tip. Our waitress took our order and reminded us it was cash only. Once we ordered we realized we may not have enough cash to cover all the dishes so we asked them to let us know an estimate so we may have to cancel one of the dishes. We asked if we could make any other form of payment other than cash and she said no. It’s almost 2020. Get a credit card machine or square or any online payment! After she gave us the total We realized we wouldn’t be able to tip so we asked to cancel one of the dishes. She immediate said too late go to atm machine but I will go check? How do you know if it’s too late if you haven’t checked? Then she back after checking and said ok we can cancel one dish. Once we ate and got our check she said this amount doesn’t have tip, be sure to tip. I almost lost my cool and let her have it. we came around 1pm, that’s the time the entire

Price: good deal for great food

Ambience: Clean and crowded. Not with people though. Chairs and tables are really close to each other.

Overall: we only come here for the food. Everything else...

Twice I trying to order duck togo, first time the Chinese woman who answered phone flat out “No” we cannot cook duck for you!! Even though I has order n the chef told me to call bc I always buy 8-10 duck n several lb pork n assortment of marinated trips, pig ear n others. The second time I call and ask to reserved duck I said I will be there between 5:30-6 pm the rude woman said you have to be here either at 5:30 or 6, I reply I am 2 hours away there maybe traffic problem, that rude woman said “ you either be here at 5:30 or 6 or else I am not reserving the ducks for you n sale it”. Who do this woman think she is queen of China? Does her money march her mouth? If she is so rich why is she working as a cashier at a Chinese place? Every time I stop by I always buy 8-10 duck it’s only 300$ or so there r other Chinese BBQ I can buy from I do not have to tolerate her attitude or spend my money at this place! I have the mean to go and buy duck n other BBQ in Dallas, houston or I can hire a cook to cook 20 duck at my house. I do not have to spend my money with this rude person n the restaurant! If she is so rich n she could piss off customs they why did she come to America n work as a cashier in a Chinese BBQ restaurant in Dallas I am sure it is not for her health! I will not be back to 1st Chinese barbecue in Richardson Texas, I don’t need to put up with her rude attitude I can spend my money somewhere else where people are...

The only thing okay about this place is the food, hence two stars. I've had better Chinese food but this is not bad for the price.

However, the service here is terrible. We had a party of 4 and ate quite a bit of food. The invoice came as a piece of paper with only Chinese characters and a total amount number. When we tried to pay for our food, we were told it was cash only. But we saw two tables next to us pay via credit card just moments prior. They refused to accept payment via credit card and told us to go across the street to a gas station to find an atm. It is blatant that they pick and choose who can pay with cash and who can pay with credit card in order to tax dodge, very shady. Perhaps this is racial discrimination too, as the two tables that paid via credit card were Caucasian clients, non-Asians. Because of this, we did not leave a tip. We asked for a receipt, they said they don't have receipts. Our water was not refilled even once. As we were leaving the restaurant, the manager, not the server, pulled me back saying that I have to leave a tip. I then explained I didn't received any service on top of the fact that they didn't take my credit card but took someone else's. She threw her hands up and said something to me in Cantonese then walked off.

Once again, food is fine but the trouble of everything else is not worth...
