One of my girlfriends showed me this place years ago and I instantly fell in love with this place. There is nothing else like it here in the Dallas metroplex. You will find the most unique, carefully curated items in this shop. It’s perfect for birthday gifts or just treating yourself. They also used to have a plant store next door where you could customize your own plant display. The place is so cool that I even worked there for a while! Annie (the owner) definitely has a vision and the shops reflect her eclectic and one of a kind taste.
One of the main reasons I keep going back is not just because it really is a unique place but because of really cool and sincere employees like Alisha. Alisha is just legit the best! She’s very knowledgeable about products and helpful and I still will stop by the shop just to see her when she works. You can tell she takes pride in her work and if she doesn’t have the answer or pricing for you, she will take the time to go research it. Employees like this only elevate the magical feel and experience of walking into and experiencing a small business like this.
I really recommend going and seeing...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a truly unique spot to shop, Lone Chimney Mercantile is it! This little gem is hands-down the best place for gifts, cards, and one-of-a-kind finds. I especially love the beautiful photography of local landmarks. You won’t find anything else like it. Every time I stop in, I discover something new that feels thoughtful and special (and hilarious).
What makes Lone Chimney Mercantile even more incredible is the owner’s heart for supporting other small businesses. So many of the items in the shop come from local makers and artisans, which makes every purchase feel like you’re giving back to the community too.
Whether you need the perfect card, a fun gift, cute plants in fun vessels, or just want to browse something fun and different, this shop never disappoints. Highly recommend stopping by. You’ll leave with something you love (and probably more than you...
Read moreWe are customers who went to this store to confirm what we read in an online review: That this store's owner takes solicited and unsolicited samples from artists and vendors, then sells them without paying anything or giving the artists credit. There were a LOT of single greeting cards, a dead giveaway that something was up, since legitimate stores order in sixes or twelves. We asked about the situation and were told point-blank it's none of our business how the store pays or doesn't pay for their merchandise and to mind our own business. Lack of ethics: CONFIRMED. Not only will this shady place never get a dime of our money, we intend to let as many people as possible know about the owner's lack of morals. If you want to support a store that cheats artists, shop here. If not, avoid it...
