This place is everything hot pot should be and MORE. The atmosphere is wonderful, not overstimulating nor does it smell of food. My family and I were able to converse without yelling or feeling too loud, and the service was PHENOMENAL. We ate just enough to fill us up and keep us extremely content and satisfied.
The food was great, our only oversight was completely our fault, and that was the broths. One of the best things about this place is that one broth, two broths and three all cost the same. We got three broths, the tom yum, the pork bone and a broth that was labeled “slightly spicy”. The broth was in fact extremely spicy. If we’d go back, we’d get only the tom yum and pork bone broth. The tom yum was acidic, flavorful, it tasted straight out of a home-owned Thai restaurant. The pork bone broth wasn’t too heavy and packed a complex flavor despite seeming simple. We also got a variety of meats, veggies and noodles, our favorites being the egg noodles, instant noodles, octopus, short rib and the veggie combo. We also got free ice cream at the end of our meal, which was amazing. Our server even accepted a request for chocolate ice cream instead of coffee.
Now onto the service. Our server was Joanne, and if the food speaks for itself, the service sings and dances. This was hands down the best service I have ever in my LIFE received at any restaurant. This was our first time here, but Joanne treated us like family, refilling our broth attentively and bringing us her favorite dipping sauces without us asking. She recommended the egg noodles and the instant noodles, and those dishes ended up being some of our favorites. This woman is the epitome of what service should be in every restaurant, and even if the food was rotting and disgusting, we’d probably still come back due to her hospitality. We came here for a birthday, and the angel Joanne brought the birthday girl a special gift of a traditional dessert (of which we regrettably did not get the name) and a can opener with a gorgeous dragon on it. The servers all danced together and wished her a happy birthday as well, tying an amazing experience off with a bow.
This hotpot restaurant is an absolute must if you’re in the area or even have a semblance of love for Asian cuisine. My family and I will be coming back with everyone we know...
