UPDATE 3 (DEC 2022): Going to TP Tea after eating/shopping in the Richardson. Chinatown has almost become a ritual for me.
I took my mom with me this time. We tried the Winter Melon Tie Guan Yin Tea, which was surprisingly super good since I didn't like eating winter melon as a kid. It was just a hair too sweet, so next time I would ask for 80% sweetness.
I also got a classic milk tea. The tapioca pearls were cooked perfectly as usual! I actually like how they are smaller than your typical boba ball size. However, did notice the tea tasted slightly more bitter than usual. It was still pretty good though, so it could have just been a slip up with a particular batch of tea.
UPDATE 2: I've come here several times since my first review and it's still a top boba tea shop imo! I've tried some new drinks since then, and here are my thoughts:
-Red Bean Latte (hot): everything about this was perfection. It's very similar to milk tea but with a hint of red bean flavor.
-Mango Pomelo Sago: sadly, I didn't like this one, which I was surprised since I like mango sago pudding. Something about drinking sago vs eating with a spoon threw me off.
-Pink Salt Crema Green Tea: also didn't like this one. It tasted like drinking perfume.
Overall, I think TP Tea really nails the milk tea the best. While they have a lot of other drink options, I always go back to the classic.
UPDATE 1: I tried the French Brulee Strawberry Milk Tea and regular Milk Tea. I recommend both! The drinks were at the perfect amount of sweetness.
The strawberry flavor was very fresh; the french brulee on top is sweet and airy. The smoothie had a good consistency; if you choose to add add tapioca pearls (for 50¢ extra), they can travel through the straw without getting jammed. (A lot of other places make their smoothies really thick to the point where I always choke trying to get a tapioca pearl through the straw...)
The flavor of the tea in the regular Milk Tea is really nice; the sweetness does not overpower the earthiness and deep, rich flavor of the tea. Tapioca pearls are on the smaller size but cooked to a well level of softness. Just a FYI - because the cups are tall and skinnier, they would slightly tip here and there in my car's cupholders. Just something to watch out for.

Read moreMy friends, sisters, and I are all big fans of Pink Salt Crema. We drink around 5-6 cups a week! Honestly, I’m quite lazy when it comes to writing reviews, but I had to this time because the drinks on weekends have been consistently disappointing. This has happened so many times that it’s hard for us to fully enjoy our weekends.
Please take a closer look at this issue and figure out what’s going wrong—whether it’s the ingredients or the staff preparing the drinks on weekends. I’ve let it slide a few times, but my friends and sisters have experienced the same issue repeatedly.
To be specific, the quality of the tea and crema is the main problem. The tea tastes bad, and the crema is extremely thin and clumpy, almost like it’s old. Your drinks are usually amazing, so please don’t let this become a reason for customers to be disappointed.
Lastly, I want to give a big compliment to one of your male staff members. I don’t know his name, but he wears earrings and has brown or blonde hair. Every time he makes this drink, it turns out perfect! His service is also outstanding—he’s always cheerful and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
I really hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements. We love Pink Salt Crema and just want it to be great...
Read moreI have been a regular customer for some time and usually enjoy your drinks, esp the mango flavor. Unfortunately, my experience last Saturday around 3pm left me disappointed. I ordered several drinks for my family, but one was missing that I thought I did ordered. About 15 minute later, a staff member ( a skinny girl without a name tag, possibly Taiwanese) stared at me and told me my daughter took someone else's drink. This surprised me, as we truly believed it was part of our order. Later, I learned the drink had been made for another customer who had been waiting 15 mins there. Although I apologized and paid for the drink. I felt the way the situation was handle ws unprofessional. If the correct process has been followed- Calling names and separating completed orders- This make could have been avoided. Instead, the spoke to me as if it was completely my fault, which was upsetting.
I hope this experience can be a lesson for that staff member to improve her attitude and her work. Unfortunately, because of this accident, I will not be returning to your store and I will not be leaving a...
