My daughter and I arrived at about 3:10 PM after school. We were disappointed to find the playplace was closed for cleaning between 3 and 4. I thought, that's ok, we can eat first, then she can play at 4 when it opens up. We ordered our food through the kiosk. The kiosk printer did not provide a receipt with an order number. I went to the front, and by the time I was acknowledged for a reprint, my order was ready. The fries were not hot or fresh or full, and had some unidentified foreign object on the wrapper. The Iced coffee was mostly melted ice. The happy meal did not offer a cheese option for the burger at the kiosk. I requested a burger with no bun, and it was made correctly, but there was no utensils in the bag to eat it with. When I returned to the counter with my fries and to request a fork, I had to request a fork 3 times before the attendant acknowledged and provided a fork. After we ate it was after 4 and my daughter was ready to play in the play place and enjoy a hot gudge sundae. At this time, no one had come to move the trash can and signage that had been pulled in front of the doorway of the playplace to reopen it. I ordered a sundae but was informed after paying that the ice cream machine was in need of service and was offered cookies instead. I requested a refund and then went to the play place. Since it was 4:23 and the sign said closed from 3-4 for cleaning, I assumed it would be okay to finish my bottled water while my daughter played for a few minutes inside the play area. It was not long before she needed to use the restroom, which looked like it needed to be closed for an hour for cleaning. As we were leaving the restroom and heading out the door, I made the comment to her that we would try another establishment for ice cream since every table in this McDonald's was dirty and that was kind of gross. An employee in a yellow shirt and no hat who had just walked in the building and was sitting with another employer with a dark shirt and a hat commented on the conversation I was having with my daughter as I passed by..he said maybe you should find another McDonald's to go to. Good idea in theory, however, I'm not sure McDonald's is for us anymore. This was a very disappointing visit. I do hope the franchise owner learns the importance of keeping the entire restaurant clean, and not just the play place and ice cream machine. Tried to fill out a customer satisfaction survey at mcdvoice.com and literally not enough characters allowed in the comment box to mention all...
Read moreI came the night power was out all around and every fast food that was open had very long lines. I put in my order from the mobile app while in the parking lot deciding to get it from the drive thru. That was at 9:37pm, I got to the food window around 9:55pm due to the long line and was asked to pull up, so i did. Waiting, and waiting watching families park and go in & eat & leave by then it was 10:20! So i stuck my head out and got the guy's attention at the food window and said I had been waiting at that window over 20min so he sent someone to ask me what i ordered so i told him and he went back assuming they were looking for it or making it. 10:38 comes and a worker came to the window and asked what did i order so i told him a cheeseburger only ketchup and a large fry with a bbq sauce. Then he goes back and probably 4 min later brings me a large bag and i took out the cheeseburger to check and make sure it was correct and of course it wasn't! It had the standard mustard and pickle also so i had to give it back along with the 2nd burger they put in for free assuming it was the same. Then he comes back again and I opened the burger and it was right and even though I obviously waited over an hour they felt throwing in some cookies and a free cheeseburger would make it okay. It doesn't. I'm allergic to their chocolate chip cookies and even the oatmeal cookies but okay whatever and I had to eat my fries without the bbq sauce, thinking back i should've made him give the bbq sauce that I asked for and it was in the mobile order. I understand they were busy but to watch all the cars come and go and then to find out they lost my order and didn't care enough to find out why I was there for so long if i hadn't stuck my head...
Read moreAfter several visits I will say that the store design is interesting, a near 'tourist attraction' for locals of the area. I am not sure how many locations feature this concept, but it will be a new experience to nearly all that enter with bright colors and characters, and even the more recent themed designs and lounge styles being abandoned in favor of a more sophisticated, if quite sterile environment that would seem perfectly at home on the Google campus and serving only adults. Visit soon and you may see local kids encouraging one another to go into the restroom and/or first time adults walking out with big smiles on their faces after having experiencing the new Dyson faucet/hand dryer. (It can be a somewhat shocking experience!) The store features large, self-service touchscreen kiosks for placing your order, which staff will encourage you to try and even stick around to walk you through the process. Never fear, however, as walk-up counter service remains an option for those who prefer the option. As far as the food, to date it remains the standard McDonald's menu with their new Signature Chicken Sandwiches sadly missing (*Signature Crafted sandwich have since seen wider rollout including this location.) There is, however, a newly available standalone, but (unnecessary? and) underused dessert bar. One standout item is the lack of a self-service refill station, leaving guests to go to the counter and possibly wait in line to get their drinks topped off. The parking situation for the store also remains unfortunate with diners having to walk across the equivalent of 3 lanes to reach the entrypoint. With this being a complete teardown/rebuild you would think a better solution...
