This has got to be, in all honesty, hands-down, the absolute worst pizza I have ever ordered from a restaurant. Was very excited to trying out a Desi style pizza and was shocked at what we received. I ordered one extra large chicken tandoori pizza and one extra large curry pizza with chicken seekh Kabab topping. While I was ordering I made sure to specifically ask about the sauce and how the pizza would be made and was told that the curry pizza had a special sauce and would taste different from traditional pizza sauce. This is exactly what I was looking for so I ordered that. After receiving my order and coming home I took a look at the pizzas and was immediately saddened by the amount of chicken kebab topping… On an extra large pizza there was only about two pieces of topping per slice for the seekh Kabab pizza. The chicken tikka pizza was more understandable so I was okay with that. I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and called them back to let them know I was very upset with the amount of topping on a pizza given that the pizza costed $15 a piece. They only offered me 50% off of my next order which would be fine, however, I would never order this pizza again which is what I explained when I called them. at this point I haven’t even tasted the pizza yet. They asked me to go and return the pizza and exchange for a different one. I thought it would be wise to taste the pizza before running out to exchange it and that was the point of no return. I couldn’t believe not only the taste, but the fact that there was not a smidge of curry flavor or sauce at all whatsoever. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED ABOUT BEFORE I ORDERED. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this establishment and I would highly encourage everybody else to stay away especially if you are thinking of ordering pizza… The reason I came here for pizza is because the restaurant is called tandoori PIZZA....
Read moreToday was the biggest disappointment I have ever had. We lost a good one.
Myself and my family have been eating at this spot for years and years. We moved here in 2005 to Wylie and we were so excited many years later when we found this place. I vividly remember being a kid and how special it was when my dad would bring home a treat of butter chicken pizza from this establishment. Their sauce was great, the pizza had the best firm texture, the meat was extremely tender and flavorful. The portions were amazing!
Today… That was not the case. Im not sure what happened, but we havent eaten here in months and its one of my wifes favorite spots I would take her to. This spot was the way I got my wife INTO INDIAN FOOD, yet this had to be the WORST I have ever had.
The crust was thick and soggy.
Lack of sauce.
Hardly any meat.
NO TASTE.
ALL of this covered up by half an inch of cheese when we requested light cheese.
Not to mention I air fried it 3 times and it was still oozing.
IM SO SAD!
This is not the place I have been eating for years up to this point. I dont know what changed, but I just spent $50 for a surprise for my wife and got cheated.
This was not quality or quantity, this was completely disappointing and saddening.
I loved this place and now I will never return. I cant believe I spent $50 to make sure my wife didnt have to cook, just to sit down for dinner at 9 after a long hard day at work just to not even be able to nourish myself.
Thank you, because now all I have to eat is Whataburger this late and thats not gonna cut it compared to the treat from my childhood I was expecting.
Please work on the quality. If it is true that owners changed, please ask for pointers because I hope...
Read moreI unfortunately did not have a good first experience at Tandoori Pizza and Grill. I came by on Memorial Day and called ahead to order a paneer pizza. When I arrived 3 minutes before the estimated order time, I was told it would be another 15 minutes since they were extra busy and was offered a complimentary drink from their cooler while they got caught up. Unfortunately, they only had sodas in their cooler and I almost never drink sodas now so I did not take a drink. The pizza ended up being ready in about half the estimated time, which was appreciated, but I was still late to a commitment so I made the big mistake of not checking my order before I left because I was in a hurry to get going. When I got to a hangout with a friend, I checked my pizza and found that it looked nothing like the pictures online - it was just a cheese pizza with plain paneer melted on top. It tasted fine but I was really disappointed since the photos online showed spiced paneer with green onions on top and looked amazing. I am willing to give this place a second try and am hoping I just caught them at a bad time - I was just really disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered and that they cut so many corners to get my order competed quickly. Hoping for a better experience the second...
