I placed an order over the phone at 11:48 AM for pick-up, and the cashier asked me what time I wanted to pick it up. I told her 12:00 PM since I planned to take my lunch then. I arrived around 12:30 PM, but my food wasn’t ready. The cashier asked me for my order again, then put in a new ticket and spoke with the cook. I understood, as I hadn't prepaid over the phone, so they might have been unsure if I would actually show up.
I asked the cashier if they process payments over the phone in advance so that orders are ready when you arrive, and she confirmed they do. While I didn’t have high expectations for the panbazo (since I’ve never had a good one at any Mexican restaurant, and I suspect it's a dish that’s best homemade), the picture looked appealing, so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering from here again. The potatoes in the panbazo were undercooked, and the bread was cold and not toasted. If you’re familiar with Palmas, you know that panbazos should have warm, toasted bread — this wasn’t the case.
Additionally, I was charged $2 for a side of beans, which felt excessive for what was provided. The total for a panbazo and a large drink came to $22, which is quite high for what I received — especially considering the poor quality and uncooked potatoes. Overall, a disappointing experience. I would like to add the cashier/ waitress was quite rude when I was inquiring about paying over the phone. She quickly stated that she offered me the option, but I declined which was not true or could be that I did...
Read moreI can’t sing the praises of this place enough. The Chicken Tinga taco’s are my go-to. So much flavor, juicy and not dry. Man, I hate a dry chicken. I never have to deal with that at this taco spot. The salsa is DELICIOUS. I saw someone say it was flavorless in another review and I was like dude you are craaaazy. What do you mean?? I literally just walked outta there with four of each type because I practically drench my tacos in it because it is so flavorful. The Green salsa has a lovely, refreshing flavor and a creamy consistency with a little texture from the herbs throughout. The red salsa is the spicier one and it’s hard for me to describe the flavor but it’s really, really good. I really appreciate that they always give me as many salsas as I want. Some taco spots I have to be like I will pay extra, I don’t care, just give me the dang extra salsa please. Here they understand it’s cuz I love the sauce and they don’t make me feel bad about it. Customer service is always great. From the cashier to the cooks, they are all so nice. They have both an Horchata and Margarita machine at the register. They also offer basic beer and have a few standard desserts. If you go on Taco Tuesday like I just did you’ll be amazed at how much money you save. The restaurant is always clean and they are open later than most taquerias which means the world to me because they are still open when I get off work! Love this place a lot. Thank you guys for all that you do and keep up...
Read moreThe service and food were really good here at Tepitos Taqueria in Richardson. We had the barbacoa tacos and the fajita meat huarache and everything was delicious. The chips and salsa were amazing because the tortilla chips and salsas are made in house.
This place offer real authentic Mexican flavors. The place was clean and the chairs were comfortable. All the staff was friendly and welcoming and that made the experience nicer.
They serve options for alcohol but we opted for the Mexican Coke (it tastes much better that American coke) and Mexican style soda called Jarritos.
Over all it was a positive experience and made us want to return; especially because it is conveniently located central to the border of Richardson, Garland, North Dallas...
