Dunkin' — Restaurant in Richfield

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the rest of the staff gave a damn and helped me out.

I ordered 4 dozen doughnuts of specific types for the office on my birthday...yes, MY BIRTHDAY!

The manager who took my order seemed to not care that I was ordering a large amount of product AND WALKED AWAY WHILE i WAS LOOKING AT THE SELECTION!!!!!!

The next day when I arrived after the appointed time, my order wasn't ready and I was asked to wait in the lot. The manager sent out an older gent to deliver my order and it wasn't right. The manager was going to let me leave with a specific doughnut that was replaced with something I didn't ask for, didn't inform me, and hoped I'd leave and find out later.

I went in to correct the order and the manager saw me, then ran and hid in the back for the whole time I was in the store...which was 25 minutes! It turned out they were out of the batter for the doughnut that I saw and asked for when I placed my order, so I had to select a different item. Why this is important is because I have a coworker who really likes the cake doughnuts, and when I told him I ordered chocolate cake with chocolate frosting he was thrilled. I was really disappointed when I had to tell him what happened and he would have to settle for vanilla.

The staff was accommodating and pleasant, but the manager was terrible and a very poor example of a leader. He didn't take care of me and left me for others to deal with.

I'm very disappointed with the level of service this manager gave me and I won't be shopping here again. I haven't set foot into a DD since the late 70's and won't be doing so again anytime soon.

Moral of the story...check your goods...

This morning my 2 daughters and my self went to this specific dunkin. We also traveled from out of state. The line was long which was not an issue, pulled up to the drive thru and tried to order 3 simple drinks one was LG Carmel Iced coffee cream n liquid sugar with cold foam. 2 small iced coffees. The lady kept saying she was confused and had me repeat the order multiple times. Each time I showed understanding and compassion and was respectful. I get to the window she realizes that my skin tone is white she is a big black lady no name tag her while demeanor changed and she hands me the 1st coffee I said thank you nothing in response from her. Then she hands me the 2nd coffee said thank you again nothing in response just a rude glare like it is irritating her. The 3rd coffee was wrong I told her it was wrong she said " I can't take drinks back" I asked her for the correct drink while still keeping my composure and being respectful correct drink was handed to me she didn't apologize or anything once i was at the window but while she was taking my order and I had to keep repeating it she was polite and apologetic. The whole time as I was at the window was nothing but rude facial expressions. Needless to say the LG coffee was sour tasting therefore was spoiled. IlWe are consistent Dunkiners, actually we go to dunkin daily and I have never been treated so rudely, disrespected or made to feel racially profiled by a worker, this is a disgrace to Dunkin I will not be returning to this dunkin I will go elsewhere for coffee. The donuts I had were great to okay. The cream filled one seemed awfully light on the filling.

Maybe because it’s the allergy free part? That’s the biggest surprise to me. I wasn’t aware of the DD campaign against allergens. Kudos to them and congrats to severe allergy sufferers.

But if you like anything with nuts, including coconut, from Dunkin’ Donuts of the past, they are gone. Not the reason for the low stars, but i miss all the coconut choices as I am.

Negatives: All the non filled donuts I had were great. Anything with filling was so stingy, i couldn’t even tell you if I liked the flavor.

The parking lot/drive thru is a nightmare mess. Trying to get from parking lot to store was dangerous. Traffic could come from three directions driving lanes poorly marked. The drive thru was soo ugly in the weekday am, that I drove right past without a thought. When I saw no line the afternoon, I tried again. After waiting 7 minutes behind a car in front of the order box, I gave up probably for good on this place.

If you have allergies this place is great and might be worth all the hassles.

Maybe somethings could improve with staff experience, but the parking lot design And drive thru headaches won’t disappear completely. And most of all, if you don’t have allergies, you can go literally anywhere else,including grocery, for more choices and better tasting donuts.
