I've been to countless co-op's and this is by far my favorite. I'm actually baffled how cheap their prices are. For instance, you can get a pack of 5 organic chicken sausages frozen for $5, a single serve organic grass-fed yogurt for $1.39, etc. They also have a robust vegan section with very good prices (i.e. A pack of 4 vegan sausages produced from a small family-owned business for $3.60). Good luck finding something comparable for cheaper at Cub Foods. I also love that you can get small portions in their deli. For instance, at Seward Food Co-op, I'd have to spend a minimum of $5 for a bag of local string cheese when I'm craving cheese. At Lakewinds, you can get a tiny bag of string cheese for as little as $1.25 (it came with 3 string cheeses in it) - a bargain for high-quality local string cheese if you ask me at $0.40 a piece. I also like their turkey bacon sandwich - you can get a small portion for only ~$3.40 and it fills me up, whereas other grocery stores, I have to spend a minimum of $5-6 for a large sandwich that I can't ever finish all. I like small portions because I don't end up wasting food and throwing it away. I just eat the right portions and always...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing store and staff! My husband and I have been members for a few years now and we’ve always been impressed with the friendly staff who are quick to help answer our questions and get us exactly what we need.
Jason (manager of the grocery department) was especially helpful today with our special order and the store manager helped pack our groceries - even loaded the car! I’m so impressed and thankful for how they cared for us while we were there!
Eating organic can sometimes feel like you are limited in your options at different stores, but here at Richfield Lakewinds, the variety and selections make it an awesome experience to shop and we feel free to choose whatever we like!
The produce section is so vibrant with colors and fresh foods too. The meat department is quick to fulfill our special orders and always easy to work with - We always feel well taken care of!
I can’t say enough good things about this place - stop by and check it out for yourself! Thank you everyone at Richfield...
Read moreIll never return. Was checking out around closing time in Sunday the 25th. There was a guy with a puppy hanging out by the check out lines. As I'm checking out some employee comes over from stocking shelves and starts petting the dog then asks to bag our groceries without washing his hands or using sanitizer. As soon as the cashier finishes scanning our items she turns to start petting the puppy. We pay and stand there waiting for maybe a minute or so waiting for her to finish the transaction. I see they are more focused on the dog and grab our stuff and leave. They don't mention our total before I pay and they don't offer us a recipet or even finish our transaction. As I'm walking away my girlfriend asks if our payment was processed and if we are okay to leave. Can't say if the cashier washed their hands or anything after but after seeing the employees touch a strangers dog and then try to handle people's food without making sure their hands are clean makes me certain I will never...
