Two of us went in for dinner and ordered two sandwiches.
They cut the meat after we ordered the sandwiches which is "fresh" but gimmicky.
The music in the store and the large, plexiglass shielding between the worker and the customer made it difficult for him to hear us (wrong bread, wrong sandwich, etc.) bread and us to hear him (Did we want sauces, spices, etc.?). There isn't much seating. One other guy was eating there and left a mess at a large table so we only had two other options.
The bread quality was lacking. Maybe it was because it was the end of the day but the tops of both sandwiches were dried out and turned into piles of crumbs. The bottom was coated with dense corn meal. That's fine for part of the baking process but it interfered with the texture and taste of the sandwich.
The fillings were average. The oil and vinegar were the only thing that saved these sandwiches from being desert-dry. Even with mayo - the only "normal" condiment available- it was just palatable. The had pepper paste and peppers available also but no other toppings or sauces.
It seems they limit the options available for their convenience not for customers getting a great sandwich. It was fairly quick to get the sandwiches, but with limited options, it should be fast.
In summary, if you want the exact sandwich they offer -and you get it when the bread is fresh - it's an okay but expensive sandwich. If you want a sandwich that has multiple cheese options, filling options, and condiment variety...go...
Read moreJersey Mike's has incredible subs and this location is much better than the location in Richland. The ingredients are high quality, chopped veggies daily, meats and cheeses are sliced to order. They have gluten free options and sides at Jersey Mike's locations if you're interested, I eat gluten and the snikerdoodle cookies are worth a try! I've noticed an issue with training or stress management from employees based off multiple orders at different times.. Don't order sandwiches with the roast beef - they don't change the thickness gauge dial resulting in mush roast beef. Nothing worse than feeling like your food has already been chewed up and spit out in your sandwich. They are better about the cheese but sometimes it's as thick as the meat slices so you can't taste it. I've worked with this company before and I know how the slices need to be cut. Fair warning the bacon can occasionallys very cracked, hard, and due to the imperfections not the full strip. Most of the time it's good, order during a rush for best bacon If the owners and management can fix this problem it's definitely worth the price. If you don't order roast beef it's still a great sandwich but I don't prefer to pay that price. If you want a supreme sub or roast beef, just go somewhere else. I expect the highest quality of food preparation for the highest priced sandwich in town. The employees are always friendly...
Read moreMy wife and I love JM sandwiches, and we frequent this particular establishment often. I did post a review with 2-3 stars on it, but I am revising my review.
I do think the seating is a bit crammed though so I will leave 4/5 for atmosphere.
The owner of the store, Tim, saw my review and reached out to me personally. He gave me his personal cell number to use if I have any more complaints. The store manager also left me a voicemail apologizing. I have to say, it was good response to a bad situation. I am understanding that Tim also spoke to the workers at the store about fixing the issues. They also refunded the charge for the food, which I didn't ask for and honestly felt like it wasn't necessary. I love paying good money for good food and if the food isn't good then I just move on. But the sentiment is received and appreciated. All this is to say, I'm happy with the outreach and level of concern. And I'm glad because JM does make a great sandwich. I really hope they pay closer attention to the orders in the future and I'm hoping to enjoy more Jersey Mike sandwiches. I've adjusted my rating to reflect how I felt treated by Tim, the store manager, and my dining experience minus the negative experiences that were addressed.
Thanks Tim. It meant a lot that you made...
