Parker's Table at Oakland & Yale — Restaurant in Richmond Heights

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and there was a cheese shop in Berkeley that I miss so much once I moved to Saint Louis, but I found a new love. This place is great. All the employees are friendly and so knowledgeable. They have a HUGE selections of wines and other alcohols. When I'm looking for a specific one for a drink or recipe they always have it. They have pasta and dips and just so many things to offer.

They also do sandwiches in the back for lunch. Super delicious and a smaller menu so it's not too hard to figure out what you want. They also have a small eating space next door that is super cozy and relaxing to enjoy your food.

The best part though is the cheese. They have a cheese monger that brings in so many different types through the year. He is so knowledgeable and kind. You can spend all day just talking and sampling what they have. They also do a monthly cheese club where you get three cheeses to sample. My sister and I have done it for almost a year and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. They also have a wine club for the wine lovers!

Overall, great place. I go here often. I get gifts for people from here or gift cards for the holidays. The cheese is high end so some are a little pricey but I've seen worst prices at other place and considering it's not your Schnuck's orange cheddar it is worth...

Excellent gourmet grocer: good stock and good service. I parked out front on a Saturday and was squinting at a really weathered old parking meter, trying to decipher whether I needed to feed it or not, when one of the staff came out to clarify, "don't worry about the meter, no need to pay." So thoughtful!

A very well curated selection of tinned fish, chocolate, savory ingredients, and snacks. Cheese selection was solid too, and the cheesemonger on duty had a EXCELLENT knowledge of the wares. He was able to explain sources and comparative flavor profiles, and if course was happy to provide samples.

Oh, this is a wonderful store! They have an amazing selection of wine. The cheese case has some of the most exquisite, delectable cheeses, including several that I had never heard of. There's also a special meats case. The owner is absolutely charming and friendly and helpful and not at all intimidating which you might fear from being surrounded by all of the elegant, epicurean delights. If you are looking for something special and/or unique or for the perfect bottle of wine (I should mention that the wine prices range from very reasonable to what one might expect for a rare or special wine) then I highly recommend a visit to this store to find the best...
