Had a solid experience. The young lady working that day was pleasantly helpful and knowledgeable; regrettably, I've forgotten her name. Hospitality is hit or miss these days, but she was genuine. Employee of the month status...maybe year.
Anyhow, she patiently addressed all my inquiries about the goods and the shop itself. For those just passing through, you might find her insights as interesting as I did.
Came in thinking I'd get a couple things, but got hooked on her recommendation of "thumbprint cookies." I believe that's what they're called. They sell em by the bag at various weights. Her baklava suggestion? Spot on.

   Read moreVery empty store front. I wasn’t sure it was actually open when I opened the door. Two enclosed pastry cases were mostly empty. To be fair, it was the afternoon so perhaps they sold out of most items by the time I was there.
I’m not sure if they’re planning a remodel or going to put in seating, or if that’s just the way it looks now. but they should consider doing something different with the front of house.

Every time I'm in town I go and they have been absolutely wonderful, the owner even offered to ship cookies to Florida. Wonderful bakery. Very nice and kind people.
